With the recent announcement for the make it rain campaign, I recalled yoshi-p having mentioned during the last NA fanfest that male versions of the current gender locked items were in production by some women on the development team (??).

I went to fan Fest in Vegas and that topic was brought up. He said he would look into it but nothing set in stone. At no point did he promise is that would be a for sure thing. As for why people want to dress up as opposite gender still seems like cross dressing tome no matter how you look at it. If they want to wear opposite gender why not just use a fantasia and change?

Yeah a full body rabbit suit that cover whole body would be a solution for the the male gender suit. I personally agree if people want to cross dress that much, buy / use a fanatasia. I say yes to the NO cross dressing propaganda.

They'll likely be added at some point in 4.0. They're definitely coming - it's just a question of when. Hopefully they're actually, you know, designed for male characters and look more like something you'd expect to see on a male stripper, showing off their muscles. I don't want it to be designed in a feminine manner and will be very disappointed if that's the case.

So yes, it is a sure thing, but a low priority thing, as it was never part of the already-made plans and it's being done due to community request.

They didn't, PAX East was a Q&A so they didn't get to hand-pick questions beforehand, all questions were randomly chosen from a bag and from the public. 9 out of 10 times when Yoshida reads out a question in a live letter and has assets to show about it they hand-picked the question beforehand and used it showcase something, so you could say PAX east questions were 100% him and not PR-washed responses.

So sexy clothing, even redesigned for the male form, on a male character = crossdressing? I'm not sure where to start in on how wrong that is.

Personally torn between wanting the suits exactly as they are (because I'd love to see some crazy Balmung group try to put on a production of RHPS in-game) and being blissfully happy we're going to get something actually masculinely sexy instead of jokey. I can appreciate both aesthetics, but if I have to choose, I'm glad they went with the redesign.

Just let the people wear what they want, really. What does it even matter whether someone looks like a chicken, bunny, princess, moogle or whatever? I can not see a problem in this as long as I am not forced to dress like this. Let the guys have their sexy bunny outfit! OMG, the world is about to end!

And please stop with the gender role stuff and crossdressing bashing. We are long over the old cliché that women have to stay behind the oven and men are the only ones allowed to work or to wear suits. Honestly.
