It's been long enough since they first promised that this set was being worked on that it should have appeared by now, and with a major Gold Saucer event coming up it's an appropriate time to ask for an update.

From what I remembered, that outfit was only asked by the NA/EU Datacenter players, I reckon it has very low priority to them. I would not be suprised to see a female exclusive outfit be released before the male bunny outfit.

I'm pretty sure the JP players were sore over it (and the gender-locking in general) as well. Others more fluent than I am have mentioned that this is the case, and it seems to be true, at least as far as I can tell with my few semesters of Japanese. It seems like they're more orderly about it and tend to keep complaints and requests in one master thread?

It's not exactly "hype", it's more about equal grounds. At the moment female characters have 2 female exclusive gold saucer outfits, but the one supposed to be male exclusive (the gambler one) is unisex. So to equal things up a little bit the playerbase requested a male equivalent of the bunny outfits the female characters have access to, which imho is only fair and should have been added by default with the female versions.

And seriously, where do you get the idea that everyone who wants this want it for cross-cressing? When I was still playing a male character I would have loved the ears to make an easter-bunny-glamour for easter (using the ears and the reindeer-costume - it would have been perfect! But apparently for a male its only okay to wear a pair of horns...)
And if you have a "problem" with crossdressing... have you considered another game? Because this game constantly puts male characters into more femine clothes, aswell as gives them the option to dress up more femine - there is a while thread dedicated to that at the moment.

Why do you want to screw people over who just want an equal amount of nice glamour options?
