    Shaders are better, lighting is better.. I don't think there will be much more improvement (other than hopefully running smoothly and effortlessly, which in itself is a huge improvement).

    Then again, the shaders and lighting in this game could seriously use some work. It will be noticeably better, perhaps more balanced since the shader quality will match the over-all aesthetic quality.

    Oh, as the environments see significant change I'm sure that will play a role as well, not technically speaking though.

    Considering not even all single player games released recently meet XIV's current quality shaders and lighting aside, I doubt they will have trouble impressing players next year. Skyrim looks like crap.
