It's 2017, when can we get a prominent LGBT character in the storyline?

No we don't need to start sticking labels on MSQ characters. We can use our own imagination to figure out the sexual orientation of certain npcs through the various off the cuff comments and glances that are made.

It shouldn't be obligatory. It's hard to tell a story when you're obligated to put different races, sexes, genders, political correctness and everything just to make people feel accepted, it limits the experience.

This game has heterosexual, Bisexual and Gay characters. Not having Trans or Intersexual characters doesn't make this game hateful at all, and yeah you can give your opinion, but don't try to force the devs calling them hateful or promoters of hate if they don't do what you want; that's quite contradictory.

Thousands of LGBT players play this game, yet it seems there isn't enough representation in Eorzea. There are thousands of LGBT Warrior of Lights, but it struggles the mind to even think of one single instance of an LGBT character in the lore.

millions of straight players play this game and majority of them prob hate the idea of LGBT let along see it in their game. no Final Fantasy game ever gone LGTB before and I doubt this one will.. business needs to cater to the majority, not the minority.

not to mention some country like China, where Chinese Society of Psychiatry declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, will prob ban FF14 if there is slightly suggestion of LGBT in it.

But seriously, at what part of the game does it matter, what kind of sexual orientation a character prefers? To be honest, I think the question about H or LGBTTQQIAAP actually belongs to RP (or ERP).

btw: I believe, that Alphinaud and/or Alisaie are actually transgender >: )

Also how do we know characters can have sex? Does it say in the lore that we actually have reproductive organs? I know for one I have no bulge :P
