I got two builds for my smn the raid one with 1270 crit 590 det 746 ss and a casual time stasis build with 830 crit 615 det 1250 ss. even with 1250 ss I never felt the need of extra piety one more fire 4 or ruin 3 isnt worth the loss in crit/ss for more mp. although I like exotic builds please don't spread that piety is the stat to go for caster (smn)... it definitely isnt and will never be a primary of the casters secondaries : o

No wonder YOU don't think you need Piety gear.



And by the way that's not Ad Hominim... its from another thread Neela and I got into it on. Where she didn't know people were using Ruin 3 outside of trance now... like it was the new thing. The game changed... and now more people have the MP to use it outside of Trance.

This is exactly what I paraphrased. Instead of supporting your claim that piety is better than sps via a reasonable discussion as to what you get out piety, you instead attack her credibility over some other issue. I.e. ad hominem. My point stands.

Yeah.... but it's also true... if you never realized people used Ruin 3 outside of trance nowadays... of COURSE you're going to think Piety gear is useless for a SMN and never account for the total package of Ruin 3 spam. Because Ruin 1 and Ruin 2 cost very little MP to cast...

If you never use it outside of DWT... then you'll never worry about MP anyway. But of course.... if you're maintaining Ruin 3 spam... its a different story. Because then you just might fall short at some critical moment so it would actually be a serious consideration. (Aka... the way the game is played now... changed)

BUT... all of that is beside the point... SMN damage and gearing is not the point of the thread...

I am really really curious if you are that dumb or if you just play the dumbness.... other smn user in this forum already know that I got a fable for high ss - there where plenty of discussions about that. and what do you think is the main reason I go for max ss on one of my builds? right reducing cast time of hard casts -> oh well ruin lll got a hard cast oh wonder... so in fact a ss build is a ruin spam build with strong dot & egi dmg but a bit lack in crit & crit multiplyer. you don't know a shit about me and my "touch" in playing smn in different builds with different stats and focus'. not enough though... you don't know a shit about smns at all in general.

The reason why I posted my builds is to make a point: even with 1250 ss (which provides a ruin lll and dot hardcasttime of 2,22 secs) im not running out of mp WHILE using ruin lll oot. (adjusting the rota its even possible to go through a9s without downtimes f.e.) if you need piety for smn, your mp-management is just poor. #fact

and it's sad that even now after others pointed arguments out you don't seem to get the whole problem with your choice of words and behavior if someone got an own opinion - which actually stays in contrast to yours. so its not just between you and me but between you and everybody else who says "you are wrong".
