I actually typed a really really long text, to show you how wrong you are and that you seem just as childish as Silverquick, but I deleted it again, because it is simply not worth it.

Just three sentences about it: Who are you to decide which build fits his needs better? Forcing your opinion on someone who doesn't want to hear it is really weak and childish. If he is supporting an uncommon way of playing a class, just state it ('ofc you can do it like that, i just want to say it is uncommon and does not fit the meta perfectly') so following people will see.

I never said that anything fits him better nor im forcing anyone to do it like I do - I just said his idea is not better than the common ones. not more not less o.o

although I like exotic builds please don't spread that piety is the stat to go for caster (smn).

take whatever you want o.o just be aware that your build is highly ineffective compared to others... I have no probs with fun-builds like everybody should know meanwhile.

I wouldn't play ss or parry builds myself if I would believe "the meta" is the only way to go. and the whole discussion escalated after he said, that his way (piety) is the only modern BiS build which outdamage everyone else - but yet thats not the point after all - its his tone.

I've decided to add both of them to the ignore list, since nothing they're saying anymore is actually adding anything to a discussion of anything either BLM or SMN. It's just back and forth attacking now.

FFLOGS are a valuable point of reference because it shows real data sets regarding different aspects of the game. In other words: without fflogs it is impossible to have a more or less objective conversation about the effectiveness of, say, rotations, builds, party comps, etc, etc...

While I agree that FFLogs is nice in the fact that it shows raw numbers, you also have to remember there are those groups that do inflated parse runs for content, skewing numbers significantly with regards to some fights, and making it appear as if the only good players are the ones in the 95th percentile. Also, numbers don't need to be taken completely at face value; you also need to look at party comps to see if there are any factors inflating said numbers (AST card buffs, DRG Battle Litany or Disembowel for BRD/MCH, etc.).

With regards to the individual being discussed, whether or not he has cleared any Savage content is questionable since he has no gear or A12S mount. And if he runs it as often as claimed, there had to have been at least one person in his parties parsing and uploading to FFLogs. Yet he doesn't have any data on there. Either way, he didn't provide any helpful advice to the OP with regards to their question.

@Neela- please give this a rest. Continuing on this tirade is not helping you at all, but just making you look childish and petty. Please just drop it, okay? It's not adding anything to the discussion, and you're only hurting yourself at this point. I understand the need to "be right" and whatnot when it comes to debates, but at a point, you gotta know when to stop. The time to stop would have been several posts ago.
