My first 'lazy' healer

This game can be a bit of a culture shock to players coming from other mmos. Considering in most mmos, the healer has no time for dps or their dps is trivially low.

It took me a while to grasp the concept of "Healers can actually do some damage" myself.

Took even longer to grasp the concept of "SCH is an offhealer, even in 4 man content. Don't try to be a main healer, just support and back your faerie up"

I'm an aggressive WHM main, so you can imagine how god-awfully annoying it is when, just like 5 minutes ago, I get a WHM healer in Vault who is spamming Cure/CureII on my War (when I'm at 99% HP). Killing every mob until 1-2 remain and all I can see in my peripheral is a WHM standing 10 feet away just AFK-mashing full HP cures. They didn't use a single DPS spell - not even holy - until the last boss when the orbs appeared, and even then the DPS was so low from the ACTUAL DPS as well that two orbs survived. It is this type of slow-ass roulette that makes me want to pull the eyes out of my head with a rusty spoon and fling them around the room while screaming like a deranged gorilla. More annoying still is that I hadn't the energy to raise my concerns, so I simply said "So much overhealing". All I got was a ^^ in response. This person had primarily 60's and 50's in all categories. Boggles my mind how someone who has played that long can't see just how LONG and DULL they are making things for themselves and everyone else.

This.... Most MMOs are set up so the Healer as more work on their hands just doing their healer jobs that throwing any sort of dps is a pipe dream.

I swear i'm growing tired of the complain about healers not dpsing threads..like seriously..people get it..it's annoying..20+ threads a day about it isn't going to change it.

I don't know what's more annoying. Healers standing around not doing shit or seeing more threads about healer DPS!

Spoiler: It's the non-DPS healers. That's the most annoying.

<< Only DPSs so I don't get bored, I think I actually got worse at being a healer when I started this MMO? I think I screw up healing more because after a point I almost don't need anything but regens/faerie, so I forget I'm not Green DPS w/ Rez and Cleanse. I'd kill for more interesting fights. Or hell, if we can get dancer healer for 5.X where I can live on healing and support Id be happier than DPSing.

Honestly the best solution is to make sure to take more and more damage. If the healer wants to stand around, make them work. I don't have a problem with healers not dps'ing and I don't think anyone else here is saying that at all. The issue is, some of them do nothing.
