My first 'lazy' healer

So I understand what people mean when they hear "lazy healer". I'm normally a sch main so I'm not quick to judge but this healer I encountered did absolutely nothing. They didn't even keep the tank topped off. they just stood back and let everyone do all the work and healed the tank when he went below half.

I can understand not being the best at the stance dance but at least try mate.

Do you usually run Duty Finder as healer? That would explain why it was your "first" lazy healer. Cause... sadly, that's the majority of healers I've encountered recently, which is why I tend to run roulettes as healer just to save me the annoyance :/

Yes. I'm normally a healer main and I do my best to dps. occasionally it can't be helped if a party is getting hit by every bloody mechanic out there but this wasn't the case with our party. The dps output was especially noticeable because our output was abysmal this match. I've gotten my casting gear up to 265 and my rotation was on point so I'm pretty sure I was carrying my weight >.>'

I always found that particular argument funny...

...considering my eyes as ninja are constantly going back and forth between the positional circle underneath the mob, the huton timer, looking for shadowfang, mutilate and occasionally dancing edge timers, my hotbars to check for OGCD availability because I'm supposed to use them ASAP, the TP and enmity bars in the top left corner for shadewalker/smokescreen/Goad, my own TP bar in the bottom right for Invig and the boss cast bar and general environment for mechanics and/or adds. Did I mention my GCD is only 2 seconds, rather than 2,5 and those OGCDs are supposed to be weaved in?

Healing even with DPSing is relaxing in comparison.

Right? Playing DPS jobs through casual content is much much harder than playing healer roles in casual content because their optimal rotations don't really change, even if mechanics are much easier than trials or raids. Heck, whenever I feel like I don't want to think I go as a healer on my rouletes, and still manage to outDPS so many players...

People don't really like dungeons so Scholar > Follow target is a godsend for them.
