PS4 controller issue

Just an idea, but is it set in your in-game FFXIV options to have the mouse/keyboard mode active rather than controller mode? Try signing in and see how the options are there maybe?

Well like I said once I actually get logged in even the keyboard and mouse stopped working. I can use the 8 6 4 2 on the number pad as cardinal directions, 0 acts as enter and the + will bring up my menu. Using those I was able to navigate to my settings and I am still set for controller

I even tried deleting the settings file on my PS4 but even that didn't help.

Well just deleted the game and we'll try to reinstall

So I uninstall the game and reinstall the game fresh and still after starting the FFXIV client my controller is still unresponsive and the only two buttons that work are the PS button and share button.

Any suggestions besides just deleting my account and waiting for Destiny 2 lol
