Theme Song on Login Screen

So, I've had an issue with this for a long time but never thought to bring it up here.

The theme song on the login screen is annoying. You can't control it and you can't change it--it just plays. It makes watching videos shared by SE impossible. It makes reading patch notes irritating. It's just plain annoying.

Does anyone else find this to be an issue? Would SE provide the option to turn it off or change it?

Not to be a dick but sounds like a You problem. I agree however they should add a option to turn it off in system settings.

Do you mean the Launcher or the screen with the options Start / Data Center / Movies / Configuration / Exit with the game logo ?

He probably doesn't mean the launcher since there's no music there. I didn't know someone playing a Final Fantasy could actually find the prelude annoying, I do like it less that ARR prelude but still not annoying.
Tho if it annoys you when reading patch note, that means your game play the song even in background. So maybe turn off this setting.

Yeah, I don't care much for HW's prelude, if only because it no longer suits the current state of the story. But, less than a month and that problem is solved.

What are you talking about exactly?
You are the one choosing to park your game at the log in screen right?
Are you not aware there are options to not play the clients sound when its not the focus? You can just log in?
Am I misunderstanding?

You can turn the login screen music off by crossing BGM in the settings. Unless this is some bizarre PS4 thing. I always listen to my own music so I almost never have in game BGM on and nothing plays in my title / login screen.

if you dont like the theme of the crystals (and all of it's remixes in ffxiv) i have bad news for you, that theme IS final fantasy, as much as some don't like it, it is one of the staple songs throughout the franchise as a whole (and is as recognisable as the chocobo theme), you can mute your games audio or use windows (if your a pc player) to mute the application if it is truly a nuisance.

My main issue is when reading patch notes and video content shared by Square Enix.

The first part of the song is the iconic intro of FFVII. I can remember like it was yesterday. The addition to it (to me) sounds annoying.

I haven't been able to find a way to turn it off on my PS4.

Btw, if you're going to be cheeky, please don't bother responding to my posts. I'm fairly certain I've tried everything I could possibly think of regarding this thing and it still sullies my patch-reading, video-watching experience in FFXIV.
