    Crash On start-up

As soon as I start-up the launcher, I get this error:

I've checked that the proxy server setting is "unchecked", and reset everything to default settings, renewed and released the ip, reset the modem, and re-installed the game. The game was working fine for a couple weeks until this week.

    Running on Win 10.

There was a post about 3 years ago that someone made about this error.

Here are some steps I would do and hope these fix your problem.

In IE, open options and click on Advance tab. Then click Restore advance settings and then click Reset... (For windows 10, if you cannot open IE, follow these directions here: http://mywindowshub.com/how-to-reset...in-windows-10/)

If problem still exist, then follow the steps for resetting FFXIV:
    1. Run as administrator
    2. Clicked on the "Config" option at the bottom of the FFXIV launcher and select "Reset" as it's description states that if I have trouble launching the game.

If the problem is still there, try this:
    1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Click on internet options 3. Click Advanced 4. Make sure "Always run or install software even if certificate is invalid" 5. Open FF14 Client again. (Again, the link in the first step shows you how to open the internet options on windows 10.)

If still problems, double check the Internet Option settings in IE to make sure LAN settings are correct:
Just open IE, go to Internet Options > Connections and click LAN Settings. Check "Automatically Detect Settings" and click okay. (Again, the link in the first step shows you how to open the internet options on windows 10.)

If still problems, try rebooting the modem with the router (if there is one) power off. After the modem boots, power up the router again and let that finish. Then verify the computer has internet again.

I have tried every one of those solutions, though not necessarily in that order, and without much luck. Does the order of those fixes matter?

Nah. I just put it in that order as I was thinking about them.

I am sorry that none of those steps worked.

Another odd idea I just thought of is if you can add your user account to the security to have full access to all the files and the folder for where you installed the game at. Maybe there is a permission setting issue. (I am assuming you went with a default location installation.)

Actually, all my games are installed on a seperate SSD from my OS, so the install folder isn't standard.

What happens when you go to the website in your browser? http://frontier.ffxiv.com
Does it give you a 403 forbidden error or something else?

Yup, that's exactly what happened! Good call! Does that mean something in particular?

If you got the 403 forbidden error, that means your computer, router, modem, and ISP are not blocking the website.

If IE is not the default browser, try setting that.
If there is no IE to choose, maybe try Edge.

Another thing to look at is if you have an antivirus software other than windows defender, see if the software is blocking the website I linked earlier.

I can confirm that my antivirus isn't causing the issue, nor did making IE my default browser fix the situation. I appreciate the help though.
