MSQ "Not My War" is glyched and not dropping the quest item into key items bag

Thread Title: main scenario quest "Not My War" is glitched for the "key items". I killed the quest jungle coeurls that are quest marked and the jungle coeurl skins I need to hand over to the NPC quest giver "Drest" are not dropping in my key item bag. So I am not getting ANY quest items at all but the quest is till checked marked done and I cannot advance through the story line untill this quest is turned in. Whether its a bug in the game or not the fact is the items i need are not in my key items bag and Drest is saying the quest is complete. I am stuck on this quest until it can get resolved and have been all month. Please fix this so I can advance in the MSQ before Stormblood comes out. If I could drop the MSQ and then restart it I would in a heart beat but MSQ cannot be dropped.

Steps: Teleported to Wine Port for a "main scenario quest" and proceeded to Raincatcher Gully to pick up the level 33 Main Story Quest from the NPC quest giver "Drest". Then with main scenario quest in my quest journal I road to where the jungle coeurls were with the quest marks on them, around x17.3 y27.6.

After killing many jungle coeurl's I had plenty of the coeurl's skins in my inventory, but no JUNGLE coeurel skins in my key items bag for the quest, and yet I received the green check mark on the quest that said it was complete. But when I returned to the quest giver "Drest" to turn in the quest items of " 4 jungle courel skins" for the main scenario quest "Not my war" the quest giver Drest had the completed green check mark but I had no items to exchange to him. My key item bag was empty.

I have since gone back many times to kill the quest jungle courels to get the quest item jungle courel skins but they are not dropping anything into my key items bag. I have killed many many jungle courels trying to complete this main scenario quest. After the first time trying to turn in "Not my war" to the quest giver "Drest" the jungle courels no longer have the large Q over them signifying that they are a quest item. Nor does the orange/red quest area show on my map for where to hunt for the quest items needed since Drest is saying the quest is completed.

Drest just keeps giving me the initial text box that he needs skins. I have YouTubed this quest and watched how others completed "Not my war" and I did the same steps but the quest items needed " Jungle Courel Skins" are not dropping into my Key Items. In fact NOTHING is dropping into my Key Items.

We recently submitted your issue for further investigation to the development team and have received a response from them. It appears that we need further information in order to discover and address the issue at hand.

From the information you"ve provided, it seems like you may be trying to hand over the regular item "Coeurl Skin" to complete the quest. In order to complete the quest, you must hand over "Jungle Coeurl Skins", a key item, which can be obtained from Jungle Coeurls that spawn withing the area shown within a large red circle on you map. While the quest is active, Jungle Coeurls with have a flaming circle icon above their name, and once you obtain Jungle Coeurl Skins, they should appear in you Key Items list so please check if you currently have them. If you do not receive any Jungle Coeurl Skins after defeating the Jungle Coeurls while the quest is accepted and active, pleas reply to you bug report on the official forum letting us know. Your post can be found at the following link under the Accepted Bugs forum.

**This was my initial bug report but as this was moved to "Accepted Bugs" section it cannot have additional information added. This was addressed in the forums since 2015, but has yet to be fixed.

Attempting to do so presents the error message:

So again yesterday May 24, 2017, approximately 3:30-4 pm I went out to try and get the quest items again. Here is the pictures in sequence of events as I killed the Jungle Coeurls needed for the quest item. Note the in game times circled in red please.

Hello again, and thank you for your response for additional information to your bug report. We're sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue and apologize for the several responses you've received to you helpdesk tickets that did not help resolve the issue.
From the information you've provided, we understand that the quest "Not My War" is ready to be completed and the quest giver has a green check mark above them readied for completion, both the key items necessary to turn in are not in you key item list and you are unable to re-obtain the key items as the target enemies no longer provide them.
We will be escalating this information to our development team for further investigation. Investigation into these types of possible issues can take quite some time, so we must ask for your patience. In the meantime, Game Masters are unfortunately unable to resolve these kinds of issues since we are unable to reset quests or provide any key items necessary, so we greatly appreciate your patience. however, once we receive a response regarding you situation, a Game Master will speak to you in game with how to proceed further.
With that said, as this is the most we are able to do to assist you with this issue, it is no longer necessary to submit further helpdesk tickets regarding this issue. Rest assured that we will contact you with a resolution when we receive one.

Thank you for escalating this to the devo team however, asking me to be patient after my main has been stuck for quite some time is going to be tough. I have put months of time into this character and leveling a new one is not something I will be doing. So as I wait and pay for game time for a game I am not really using, I am wondering how much waiting there will actually be? And if I will be able to get status reports so I wont think the ball has been dropped or forgotten. Orrrrrr the quest could just be reset while the development team hashes out the issues that occurred but my time wont be wasted waiting in que for this glitch to be worked on. Any other thoughts to speed this up would be appreciated.
