It's a bad idea, but I believe they're limited to one per account, so it seems more like a 'here, start at the most recent content' button rather than an 'I want 60-all and am willing to pay for it' situation.

That said, it's getting increasingly difficult to find MMOs that don't cater to lazy people who would rather pay extra money to skip experiences than stop and smell the roses. I'd jump at a major one if it released, but companies just don't seem willing to sacrifice a few bucks for the sake of game quality anymore.

So, I put up with it. And say a silent "wow, what a moron" whenever I see someone using emotes that you have to f*cking pay for, or riding a mount that costs $25, or playing a level 60 character whilst having absolutely no idea what they're doing and no idea what's going on storyline-wise.

That said, the combat changes are far more relevant. I'm definitely holding off on purchasing Stormblood until I get a chance to play around with those a bit. A lot of the changes seem OK, but whenever a company approaches combat with the deliberate goal of 'reducing the gap' between players who give a s*it (i.e. those that SE terms as 'raiders' even though many of us don't raid) and those who don't, I'm deeply concerned. Less interesting combat would be far more likely to send me running for the hills than SE catering a bit too much to people with more money than sense.
