seems pretty cool but... i'm exited of this, hands down, but still i can't see a discussion about this things:
- minor one: flamethrower, will probably cover aoe on the ground = harder to dodge for melee
- major one: am i wrong or... wildfire explodes pretty fast now????
Wildfire is now 10s not 15s.seems pretty cool but... i'm exited of this, hands down, but still i can't see a discussion about this things:

I think 4.0 Machinist will be the job that plays the least like its 3.0 counterpart.
3 bullets instead of 5 and the bullets being used for something other than instant cast.
No cast times anymore. So no need for the old proc system.
Completely new Heat Gauge mechanic. Details unknown.
Do they still have their turrets?
It looks like almost an entirely new job.

Removal of cast timer was the right choice for BRD but the wrong choice for MCH. Seems like it'll make the ammo and procs pointless. The wildfire looks like a nice added change since my biggest issue was mobs would either be dead or disappear before timer was done.

I really enjoyed the way MCH played with Gauss barrel and you can tell the class was designed around it and hate playing MCH in 50 roulette cause it feels brain dead to play. with stance dancing and managing ammo correctly it did create quite a wide skill gap and you could usually tell when someone knew how to play MCH well and I can see SE wanting to raise the skill floor but removing Gauss barrel wasn't correct way of achieving it imo.
the changes I personally wanted to see was to make the AOE turret similar to the Rook turret and just fire AOE shells rather than have to constantly move the turret when tanks decided to pull everything out of peoples AOE's and the real wishful change I wanted to see is the turret act similar like a pet and hovers around you and follows you when you move.
I'll still level MCH first to see how the new changes play out and if we have to manage heat instead I can only hope it plays similar to Innovative Ordenance Mercenary in SWTOR

That super flip shot after Ricochet aside, I can't wrap my head around the new gameplay they've shown (and I'm a little frustrated that they showed and explained very little for the classes that seemed to have changed the most). Given that Wildfire still exists, I guess we're still about the burst, but with the lack of buffs and the changes to the ammo, how would our damage fare? How would the Heat mechanic play with all of this? It seemed that it was mentioned that BRD/MCH will remain party support, so I'd assume that Hypercharge's basic function is still there. I also wonder whether lower damage be the trade-off for the mobility. I played BLM before going BRD then MCH so the cast times didn't bother me as much, I felt it was integrated well to the MCH gameplay.
i think MCH is heading to the right path because they did say that they going o make the class more "enjoyable" to play seem it has so little player based, which is what they are aiming for in 4.0. i am expecting to see A LOT more mch in 4.0![]()

with the return of Bard 2.0 freestyle movement, i think alot of people who used to main bard and play mch now will switch back to Bard.
it will all depends on how the Heat meter works. the lack of self dps buff other than hypercharge is concerning. and the fact that wildfire is 10s in the next expansion.
You want to increase MCH player base? Improve the GB graphics and the MCH weapon drawn run animation lol.
