Do you play alt characters, if so why?

Only seen one other person mention this so far in the thread, I have an alt, haven't fully levelled it yet as I'm still finishing stuff up on my main for SB, but simply it will be there to help friends, fc members etc, basically anyone outside of my static with savage content and not screw over thier weekly loot drops when the lockouts are still in place ^^

I took one alt each through the starting story of the other two cities. On of those alts I've leveled one past 50, mostly to redo old storylines when the mood strikes me. He's also currently serving as the gardening alt for my FC, so that I don't have to keep seeds in my own storage or the FC's chest.

Friends on different DC, so alts on different DC too.
But I have to admit my alts are still aroun lvl 52~55. I couldn't do the 3.0 MSQ more than once, too long.

Role-playing. They're different genders, but both are Au Ra. My main has everything maxed while my ALT is more specialized. My ALT is also on separate account, so I can freely trade between them if need be, or RP with them both at the same time (most of the RPing is done in Discord so we can have simulated World of Darkness dice rolling).

Also, can have 3 different specialized crafters on another character.

I have five characters and each one is a different race and class. I wanted to try new starter areas, play with the character creator and without spending fantasia. I also realized it would be much easier to level up a toon quickly if I could use the MSQ XP for each.

I had one I needed for a video clip once.
The video never made it out of the drawing board and preliminary clips sadly.

He's still hanging around but I have no reason to use him.
