Why is a level 35 item better than a Primal's loot?

I think spellcasters were generally boned from the start of this game, not only do we have only 2 DoM, but also our entire wardrobe seems to be comprised of only bath robes and settler jackets in different colors, while DoW get chainmail, platemail, leather, salets, celatas, barbuts, etc.... this is really just one more insult on top of many other insults that DoMs have suffered, at this point why even bother bringing it up? we'll always be a second rate class with second rate gear and a second rate image, this is just the way SE perceives mages in this game.

I'm not real sure what point you are attempting to get to. Every game is pretty much like this.
it's just different materials. Mages/wizards have always worn robes and for most part always will.

This isn't an excuse for them, really it shows how crystal tools had absolutely no business developing a MMO, but gear sets take close to 5-6 months for them to make from scratch.

Hopefully with this new engine they will be able to produce gear sets more easily and alleviate what you just said. Hopefully.

there, there. SE might not have the love for you mages. but the community still loves you. all i ever hear when ppl shout to make a party its always 6/8 and need DoM. healers make the world go round

Agreed, but generally they tend to have some flare to them, you know, patterns and accents, something to still give them a little personality, but in this games most robes are literally just cloth, one color cloth, I know there are a few robes that got a bit of personality to them but not nearly as many as there are armors. it just gives off the impression like armors were designed and robes were an afterthought, which might just be my imagination, still i can't help but feel this way.

Its is like this cause the Devs have no clue what they are doing. Get used to it for it is going to be a VERY bumpy ride for this next year and a half.
