SCH Anima weapon advice

Working on my anima weapon for SCH at the moment and I'm in the crystal sand grind, anyone have any thoughts on the new stat layout and how I should be allocating things because previously I was split Accuracy and Crit but now I'm wondering if I should just stockpile until the early release and allocate at that point?

You can spec normally, acc will be automatically switched to direct hit. I would also look at whether you want to split the acc with spell speed. If you decide at any time you want to change it you can respec the stat allotment but it will cost more crystal sands, no umbrite though.

I was told direct hit is only for DPS

Crit/SS is another alternative if you're not confident that direct hit is going to be worthwhile.

I wouldn't worry about holding back on assigning stats though, it's painless to reassign them.

That's not a reason to not pursue an Anima weapon. It also contributes nothing to what the OP is asking for.

OP, I am almost at the same stage with mine for both SCH and WHM, and I plan on going all crit and spell speed. That was my decision from the beginning and decided that if ended up wanting to do raiding eventually, I would reallocate the stats at that point.

Going back and forth about it also does not contribute. The OP is pursuing their relic, and that's all that matters. Their reasoning for doing so is their own. Mentioning how no one knows how the new stats are going to work probably should have been your OP. This is indeed true, but it also isn't that big of a constriction. If the OP is at that stage right now, I see no reason to wait several weeks to advance it further, or stop the anima questline altogether.

Thank you all for the quick responses! I think I'm going to continue as I am and maybe get some SS in there as well. With the way they nerf older anima quests I'm sure it won't be an issue to respec if I need to down the line.
