Are role actions a nerf?

[Edit]: If anything about the new Role System concerns me its the Transfer of 20% MP to other party members. Going to suck if DPS Casters become glorified Mana Batteries, though I'm not unhappy we have more synergy with Healers.

Think of it as an ability that lets Black Mages, Red Mages and Summoners replace Bards and Machinists.

Also lets you pay the Healer back for Resing you and you can both be annoyed at the dps who keep dying.
