I would like to see either ninki moves either reduced in cost (and I'd be fine to see ninki generation slowed as well to balance) or for us to be able to store more than 100 ninki. The current system does not offer much flexibility. Upon reaching 80 ninki you must spend it within 3 gcds or you will start wasting ninki. It would be nice to be able to save ninki for an upcoming AOE phase, for example, ot to be able to delay TCJ or Bhava to time with trick. Sam have a lot of flexibility in storing and spending their resource, which has me a bit jealous.

What makes me a bit jealous of the SAM is the amount of GCDs the job has...
I'm still puzzled as of why NIN has now less of them than a PLD :/

Guess they wanted to give some more complexity to Ninjutsus but thats still something that happens once every 20 seconds vs something that does once every 2 >:|

Hi everyone. I might be in a wrong place with my question but perhaps you can direct me to a right place if that is the case. I was doing Aurum Vale (ugh) with another ninja. Her gear level was about 115 and mine is 235. I use the rotation from one of the guides that I have seen around here and she didnt b use dots at all. Still she kept stealing the aggro from both me and the tank. I'm a fairly new ninja so I was wondering do I do something wrong or why that happened?

err... you mean from the trash?? or from the bosses??
If its from the trash, there is hardly any need to even bother with your DoTs
If its from the boss... uuuh... are you sure you had your venom on?

I had my venom on yes and this happened in the trash battle and in the middle boss which was the cyclops dude. From the dots I use mutilation in trash battles but not the other two.

You sure he didnt cast Smoke Bomb on Tank?

Thats really one thing that comes into my mind. I mean 115 and 235 ilvl is huge difference, you would propably out dps him just pressing 1 skill :P

Oh then its easy...
On trash using Mutilate is often just a waste of time, since they have to live for quiiiiiite a long time.
Most likely you lost on aggro on them because the DoT didnt catch up to raw damage from AE combo by the time they died and most likely they weren't even attacking the monster you and/or the tank were focusing in.

That boss has a skill that resets its aggro.

At Aurum Vale you are synched down to lvl 49 so... they were having equal gear there.

Cheers, I'll keep this in mind! I think I also might have been generally slower than the other ninja which too eats my dealt damage. Anyway, I try not to be so dot neurotic from now on but I played as a summoner before so it's a force of habit Thank you!

The cyclop from Aurum Vale got a skill that reset his enmity. That's probably why you saw him target the other nin

Huge for NIN and it'll certainly help with lining up Ten Chi Jin in order to apply Trick Attack which is what it's obviously meant to be used for. It never really made sense to Ten Chi Jin with Suiton when Trick Attack was down but it did kind of make sense to use it with Katon/Doton on a boss that would stay still long enough to get the full value.
