Level boosting items on the way

This is only the story skip at those prices.

There's a second item, Job Level-boost Items, that raise the level of a single job...and that will be $25 per boost.

That's still only $50... even then, I expected $60 for each of the potions, not just the story-skip or job-skip. They said they were going to be quite expensive, but $25 is quite cheap... at least in relation to my expectations.

Not really - I don't see many completely new, completely unsupported by friends player coming in, buying $60 for the game up through Stormblood and then dropping another $50 to skip to that and get a level boost.

P2W isn't really the problem, it's more that people will suddenly be lvl 60 in lvl 60 dungeons having no experience on their job. So if you think dungeons are bad now... oooo boy...

(for the level skip potion that is, the MSQ jump is just confusing b/c you're making a story focused MMO and letting people skip all the story but w/e)

It's a complete waste of money for RMT. They need to buy the entire game, plus the expansion, then $50 on potions per account that inevitably gets banned. It's not worth the money for them.

This implies that people who buy jump potions will sit through a tutorial or retain information. Jump potions in WoW had the same effect.

The base game costs $20, expansion costs $40, $25 is expensive in comparison if it costs more than the base game.

Surprised they arent doing the thing wow did where they gave everyone 1 potion free. My SO really wanted these for her alts that she loved to play but couldn't get to in Heavensward due to work. Will probably just level my classes in my off time since $25 to skip 50-60 is a bit high for a class I rarely play. They do have a point about the MSQ getting in the way of new friends joining older players tho.
