Benediction heals to full HP, putting it anywhere between:"Less useful than a regen" to "Slightly better than Essential Dignity" depending on where the HP currently stand.
It would be an exceptionally powerful spell... if healers couldn't heal for 20%++ of even a tank's maximum HP non-crit with a regular GCD ability. The best part of it is that it ignores Cleric Stance... which is going the way of the Dodo soon.
Visually it's not all that impressive either - I often mistake it for Tetra >.>
You mean the ability that most often than not kills the target because it doesn't go off and you end up using on yourself? Yeah, it's great.
I do have to say the ONLY thing I'm actually looking forward to is no more CS. I've had more times of it not turning off or it not turning on in the pass couple days, leading to almost deaths, than I care to admit. I really won't miss it.
It really really sucks. Remember Y'shtola's ultimate move. That spell that looked like it combined all the elements for one massive attack. I wanted something like that.I totally agree! When I saw the names of the new abilities I got bummed they are continuing to push whm toward the divine servant rather than nature based good do-er. For the more holy based abilities I just assumed it was more like ability to manipulate the aether from the lifestream (think Y'shtola's ability to do so) rather than a deity granting the whm some sort of power.
But SE is hung up on giving us nothing but heals and the occasional stone spell. Sigh. Would have loved to see amazing spells like Tornado and Quake.
Ironic that a Conjurer can use a far more impressive spell than us White Mages. I also wanted something like that spell the minute I saw it. Instead we get a slightly different looking version of Tetra for our cap Ability...It really really sucks. Remember Y'shtola's ultimate move. Has White Mage ever traditionally been a nature based job though? I don't believe previous games had White Mages leaning towards either nature or the church-type though. Hopefully we can chalk it up to spells learned from someone who originates from Ishgard? They're big on churches.
Geomancer and White Mage have always been separate jobs. Although White Mage most of the time had Aero and Tornado magic.Has White Mage ever traditionally been a nature based job though? I have always loved WHM. I was actually quite happy with the changes until I saw scholar was given the 20% crit utility. It can be tough thinking up what kind of utility WHM should get that won't make it too overpowered. This one suggestion might be a decent one.
- 'Raise' with 3 Lillies sacrifices the lillies and restores target to full health with no Weakness.
It may not be a full party bonus, but a target not having weakness can help boost damage even for a little.
