Give 'em a protect II with a juicier defensive % and they'll have all the raid utility they need?

Subtract 1 on AST, one of our new buttons is simply a built in remove buff macro. If you really think its fair to count something that KB&M players have been simply right clicking for... Just sad... Pretty much a controller QoL change that KB&M players may use because it might be easier than hitting the right buff on the bar for some players.
If you accommodated for this already, sorry and thank you.
I did, but thank you! I had something about that in my initial post but I hit the character limit and had to cut it.Subtract 1 on AST, one of our new buttons is simply a built in remove buff macro. Undraw is listed but not counted, if that makes sense. It's just kinda on there to show when you get it, kinda like the Fairy abilities (since some people may just use Eos/Selene on Sic).
Nocturnal Sect and Diurnal Sect are counted, but I figured it was easier to count those than count Aspected Helios/Aspected Benefic each twice (once for each of their versions). Since using Noct or Diurnal is a big decision, even though it's one you make outside of combat.
AST Synastry lost its +20% healing to Largesse as well, I dont know for sure if SCH Dissipation survived it completely. SCH also irrevocably lost half of Virus. Addled only returns the virus trait, not the original spell, physical dps have that part now.WHM is losing Protect, Esuna, Shroud (now Lucid Dreaming), Divine Seal (now Largesse), Cleric Stance and Break (Heavy from Stone). If we're counting the things we can currently get from cross class, you add Swiftcast, Surecast, and Eye for an Eye onto that list. Aka, we currently have 9/10 of the role abilities, and we'll only be able to have 5 after SB. (And I realize this isn't completely just a problem for WHM, since AST lost their Shroud, Esuna, & Heavy equivs while SCH lost their Eye for an Eye, Leeches, & Heavy ability, and before both got to cross class Protect, Cleric, Swiftcast, and Surecast, which means they can't get all the skills they currently have back either.)
As a White Mage main, my problems with the new abilities are the fact that everything procs off Cure I and Cure II which I try to use as little as possible. It would be much better if they proc'd off regen ticks, since I try to use regen and medica II to do the work for me. Also, the idea of having the level 70 move work off confession stacks seems to negate the entire usage as an aoe heal, since I will unlikely use cure I or cure II on any party members and save those for the tank.
Plus, the AST Divine Star move is ridiculously overpowered 900 potency aoe heal? Since WHMs are the kings of aoe healing, it seems like something of that flavor and/or potency should've been put on whm instead. Even assize is only a 300 potency heal! It seems like the new moves introduced made ASTs even more superpowered, and made WHM even less desired in raid content.
I haven't read through all the posts on this thread, so if this has been suggested I apologise..
But an ability that granted 3 lilies on a cooldown (1 minute perhaps) may help alleviate the RNG of the lilies.
Saying this, likely it will be used to reduce the CD on assize since they would line up, but I feel it could be beneficial to the class and hopefully not imbalanced.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the correction. :-) I was trying to point out to someone else that WHM lost more than they thought to the role skills while also acknowledging how much healers as a whole are losing to it. It seems counter-intuitive to me to take things that healers need in their toolkits (that we already had built into each healer) and throw them on a shared list of skills to choose from.
This new lily system will only serve to confuse new players. It procs off of cure 1/cure 2, but any white mage will tell you that your straight cure spells are really just for clean up after damage spikes, the white mage identity in FFXIV is regens. If anything the lily/confession system should proc off of regen/medica 2 ticks. It'll show new players what they're strongest tools are.
The lilies are very difficult to earn, but their effect is underwhelming. The lilies could've been the perfect tool to give white mage some utility. The confession and lily stacks could work in tandem, we could have multiple skills like plenary indulgence, perhaps a damage buff move that could scale on confession for how long it is, but your lilies for it's strength. Having a damage attack that would scale off of lilies would be nice too, I can imagine a move called flower storm, an aoe attack that consumes and scales off of lilies. The lilies should make the player feel powerful!
I really hope that this will be fixed before SB launch, if it isnt i'll just wait til it is. Part of the new expansion hype for me is the exploration and the gaining of new interesting skills all in one with my main job. So if it means putting the game off for awhile so be it.
Thanks for posting that spreadsheet! It's interesting seeing the new gaps they'll be introducing in a couple weeks (there seem to be a number of level ranges where you get no new abilities or traits for 3-4 levels), especially the ones where WHM falls behind compared with the other two healers (even considering fairy abilities).I did, but thank you! I had something about that in my initial post but I hit the character limit and had to cut it.![]()

Any chance you could change the colour of the rows with ability gaps and/or make the borders thicker? I'm red colourblind and struggled to notice them.
Also, a tip: you can break the 1000 character limit by editing your post afterwards. That's how I posted my massive wall of text a number of pages back.![]()
