Thread: Consolidated White Mage 4.0 Feedback Thread

The hyperbole is to make a point. Where does one draw the line at to say "Your decision is an active detriment to yourself and everyone you play with." Ice mages, classes, going with low potency spells as your bread and butter, all of those are clear examples of "You'd be an idiot to go with those." My opinion is that choosing to play WHM over the other two healers come Stormblood is more like those choices, rather than picking between MNK and NIN or other such permissible choices.

The reality is nothing like what your "hyperbole" presents. The fact you think the difference between WHM and the others is going to be anything like the difference between an "ice mage" and a BLM that's actually trying is not only laughable, it's insulting to BLM.

The line gets drawn where a job can no longer function at performing its role. If that actually ends up being the case for WHM throughout the game once 4.0 hits, then I'll gladly come back here later and eat those words.

Besides, people can have fun playing AST or SCH, you know. In fact, Diurnal AST is so close to WHM that WHM mains could very much enjoy playing AST, in addition of AST being clearly superior. What a shocking reveal.

Are we sure KisaiTenshi isn't an alt and she actually does have a 60 whm somewhere and is only posting on an alt account due to a ban or something? Cause it could be that?

Alt or no alt, it is plain obvious by this point that she can't into WHM.

When a tooltip says that you'll get a stack at a 20% chance by using Cure and Cure II, you don't need to spend months practicing it to realize it's garbage.

But it's also true that the translations from many, MANY of the tooltips have been severely inaccurate. And everything is subject to change, especially if SE gets wind of the communities concern about what's happening with WHM.

People just need to be patient and wait until things have been solidified before making outright conclusions.

Its definitely possible that the way WHM is now won't be the case come the 16th. That's why I say if you haven't played it after the stormblood release, then refrain from acting as such.

Did you read what you typed? "we need to wait for us to play SB" "SE may change something because what people are saying now"

We all can access the JP tooltips anytime by going to Famitsu, the tooltips of lilies say the same in JP as well, so the translation argument holds no weight when you can easily check the source info by yourself.

Yes, everything is subject to change, but it's good that the community voices the direction they want that change to take, because even if they tweak the proc rate of lilies WHM as a whole would still not be very useful, not party interaction, no reason to use WHM over AST or SCH.
