then give them feed back after you've actually played the new changes on the 16th instead of bitching over speculationIs whm the new monk for this expansion?
I was under the impression, that one of the main reasons we only got two new jobs, none of which were tanks or healers, was that more resources could be directed towards the balancing of our current roles.
I feel rather than rectify, the issues have just been exacerbated. SE why
SE: We're gonna punch WHMs in the face and give AST a back massage.
People who don't play WHM: C'mon guys, just wait and see! It won't hurt THAT bad!
Seriously though, it really bothers me that people can look at these changes and think "Oh it'll be fine on release."
No. These are core mechanic and job defining gameplay changes that can't be fixed with a potency tweak in a patch a few weeks out. They're forcing an RNG playstyle on a job that has never had to rely on RNG, in a role that values consistency over anything else. They're forcing a spammy hard cast single target playstyle on a job that has always excelled at AoE and HoTs. They're continuing to shove a niche of "throughput healer with no utility" upon us when that niche has been dead and irrelevant for a very long time now.
AND on top of undeniably making WHMs worse when they were already in a bad spot to begin with, they undeniably BUFF its two competitors.
People who really love their WHMs have every reason to be upset over these changes, and telling them to calm down and wait and see is both demeaning and incredibly naive.

You kind of have to accept not everyone is going to agree and people have different opinions and you shouldn't take it personally :/
I play WHM and AST and me personally I am reserving judgement until I see everything to do with the battle system in SB. The battle content might not be the same style as we have now, and it seems there was possibly some incorrect translations of the tooltips we've seen so far.
So I just personally feel waiting is a good idea...doesn't mean my opinion is supposed to demean you. You really should relax about that.
I don't think numbers & translation or even battle content gonna change anything. The main point is WHM new healing mechanics are tied to RNG with cure I/II & they still don't have any utility, it'll still sucks even if they increase the numbers up, since the direction they're going is wrong to begin with.
Everything just seem so obvious that it's rather unreasonable to expect people to stay calm about this.

Never said you had to stay calm but he said people who don't agree are demeaning people... I don't know about that. Everyone has different opinions and I don't think people are trying to demean with them and I am in the camp where I feel better waiting to see.I don't think numbers & translation or even battle content gonna change anything. What they have shown so far (if it is wholly correct) I am leaning more towards the same conclusion as you about the RNG factor for sure, but I still want to reserve judgement until I see everything. Just how I feel anyway.
I am unsure why they thought RNG was good for lilies...but I am wondering if the percentages are correct atm and wondering if the fights in SB are going to be any different than now (like more healing intensive? less? same?) I don't know just rambling.

1. Confession stacks on every 4-5th tick of Regen. Making it stack with the AoE Heals would most likely be too powerful.
2. The initial use of Regen and Medica 2, as well as using Medica and Cure 3 can also build up Lilies. So basically every GCD heal - this might be overkill though, so something in between would be more balanced.
3. The first offensive spell used while under the effect of Thin Air makes effected targets take more damage for 10 seconds, 10% for single target spells and 5% for AoE; or grant a damage buff to the whole party with the same concept.
There, fixed. I don't even play WHM and some of the things I have in mind are probably a bit much in the field, but don't act like it's rocket science to implement non-numerical buffs/changes.
