Question: Can someone explain why I keep seeing stuff about speculation that Presence of Mind is gone? In the Live Letter Yoshi-P did have that on his bars. Are we speculating it will be changed because of the lily job thing, or are people just freaking out and didn't notice it there?

I have no idea why this is being said. Some people might be confusing it with Divine Seal and then it just spread as a rumor maybe.

To be fair the other healers look like they will have to manage more healing/ support items too over dpsing. Maybe they will be doing something to shift the current healer meta of you must dps too. In this case the more powerful whm healing may allow them dps more easily. Only time will tell. Less than a month til head start.

Yes ofc its all speculation. We dont know how it will turn out in the end, but just looking at the cross-skills for WHM now makes me cringe.
You can simply do the maths:
You have 5 slots.
WHM loses 5 skills that were basic: Protect, Shroud of Saints, Esuna, Divine Seal and Cleric Stance.
Cleric Stance is no longer "mandatory", makes 4 skills -> 4 skills alone fill the cross-skill slots to simply be the WHM again you were in 3.0. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
Something also mandatory for heals is ofc Swiftcast to quick-raise = all 5 slots are filled.
= You dont have any space for Eye4Eye (which I now have as WHM), no Virus anymore and you are not able to chose any of the new skills like Rescue or utilize the Cleric Stance buff. So if the new job skills for WHM arent something really game-changing, WHM will automatically lose more in Storm Blood then gain. And if thats the case I will sadly change main after playing WHM for 4 years - and, thats just sad.

Oh gosh man you just hurt my soul no eye for an eye on whm that really helps me out alot I didnt realize that the slots where basicly already filled this really sucks even worse the more that I thinka bout it

Well in 8 man content you could maybe get away without protect so that...helps I guess. I'm probably going to just give up healing in this expansion. I have no desire to play ast, and I already play smn so I'm not eager to spam dots while healing. I like the aesthetic of whm but if it's going to suck I'm just going to focus on tanking and dps.

they may have but people need to calm down. We do not have the whole picture. I really wish they would have listed all the new skills so we would at least have all the info. Maybe all this doom and gloom would at least be warranted. Too many conclusions being made without all the info.

I think it's way too early to declare RIP WHM. We have no idea what the numbers will look like or what kind of context the skills will be in. Damage only matters so much right now because the fights demand it. Maybe in Stormblood, healing will be more crucial.
