First off we don't know what the new content will be. So you don't emphatically KNOOW that you can heal without it. HOwever if the game is well designed you SHOULD never NEEED one specific job ability to complete content. However certain utilities SHOULD provide a benefit over other utilities GIVEN a specific situation. This RNG base oGCD on an effective 20-30 sec effective recast will help alleviate heavy inc raid dmg sequences ( in theory....we still to wait for the content that will put these abilities all to the test).

Waiting for final numbers to see how it works is always a good idea, but currently with the iteration we have seen and what WHM has lost.... it's akin to gutting it. As others have said the utility is almost dead on WHM and with the RNG/Mechanics of the new skills they will sadly not live up to other skills the healers received. I mean... The good buffs we had and loved are gone and given to all healers in a weaker way. As for your argument Javid I question why you're even here when you're input, be it well thought out if you're like 10, isn't convincing. As someone that has healed in many MMOs, and played WHM since ARR, I can say that these changes are hurting much more than what you think they are. Go play the class. Maybe then you'll get it.




To clarify on Plenary Indulgence, the way I see it:
It's a self cast ability, not targetable thus the 0 range, think assize/indom or such but with a significantly larger radius (30 yards).
I'm pretty confident that 0 confession stacks = 0 healing. If that wasn't the case I suspect the CD would be a lot longer than 15 seconds.
It isn't intended to be another aoe heal, rather the radius is there to allow it to be used on multiple targets, e.g. in FaustZ, you'll likely be casting a fair amount of cures across both tanks, in this situation you'll likely be able to use Plenary almost on cooldown either to play it safe or buy yourself a few more DPS GCDs.
In a single tank situation, it's simply going to be a tank specific instant free heal on a short cooldown assuming the incoming damage is sufficient to actually proc it. In high sustained phases of tank healing it'll practically be a resource free lustrate on a 15 second CD (rng allowing), in periods where the tank isn't taking much damage it's likely to see little use, Cure2+Tetra will still be the go to burst for dungeons and such.
And yet I've played Conj since 1.0's closed beta, WHM since 2.0's closed Beta and my healing experience in mmos goes back approaching 20 years (Probably not far off that if you consider Anatomy in UO as healing). I'm genuinely looking forward to these changes as I really do hope we actually get some raid content that warrants this kind of HPS potential.
The last point is a big piece of the puzzle though =(

I never seen any raider want to use stoneskin over literally anything else in a raid beyond the first buffer. You know. . . cause that gets in the way of attacking, it costs a lot, slow casting, "10% extra HP is not worth it", it's not adloquium, ect. So what is the OP going on about with losing Stoneskin?

It was required to survive Death Sentences in T5 progression, and I still use it a fair amount in A12S, primarily if someone has weakness, but it's also useful for some of the later Heat/Spear hits if your tank is running low on CDS. A PLD without CDs (Or just mistiming things) can still get one shot by the tank busters here.

It's possible the way it works is an AoE heal centered around the person with the confession stacks. The tooltip doesn't look like it, cause the range is 0. If that's the case, it's not a useless ability but a quick mana free way to boost people around your tank. However, it being built up by random chance means it's going to be deeply frustrating to use, because you could get a bunch of confessions when you don't need them or not get any when you do. That's been the problem dogging the WHM forever, you don't always get freecures when you need them and often times you get them when you totally don't.


You guys forgetting that Assize is now extremely OP now? It's big damage and big heal, instantly, with 10% MP to boot.
