You forgot to bold that, so that they realize this.I am repeating myself like a broken record because of the importance of this question, but the most important question from raiders that you can bring to the devs from us is, "why would we bring a WHM to raids when we can have The Balance and Chain Stratagem?" This question holds the greatest weight to us, and is intended to be a serious matter (not offensive).
as for the rest; I've raided on WHM and while they were former friends, i did get plenty of Flak for playing a WHM and not another class, but they didn't ever make me change.
That's what you see in ARR & HW. The whole healing game is changing come Stormblood.
Looking at all the evidence, it appears Regen and Medica II alone will be insufficient to keep up with the incoming damage. Meanwhile, the Stone Skin is being removed. Hence, we'll have to be casting our Cure I and IIs and using Lilies, Confession, and whatever else is in our toolkit come release to keep the other characters alive.
Think about it.![]()
This would reasonably imply that the 100% Cure 2 proc is not the only change WHM is getting. Fingers crossed.
Rather than having lilies used automatically to do something stupid like oCD reduction, why not make them a stackable consumable charge instead? Casting spells can have a set chance to proc a Lily (and a crit hit can double that chance) with higher potency spells having higher odds. An action could be added to consume all lilies and power up your next ability, and more lilies adds a larger buff.
For example, one Lily reduces MP cost by 10%.
2 lilies increases potency by 10%
3 lilies powers up the spell to a stronger form.
This would have the flaw on being less effective on the oCD skills, But since those are really good anyway it wouldn't be a net negative. Further, using three lilies on an oCD such as Asylum or Assize could give it a significant buff, such as an added effect of refresh for 10s to all allies or something similar.
I think this could allow for synergy with other classes while adding an extra layer of strategy to the use of Lilies in battles.
Thanks again for ensuring us that our kicking and screaming isn't falling on deaf ears.
We really have no choice but to wait until EA, but I'm still really worried. Cure II procing a lily 100% does abso nothing to solve the real problem.
Hopefully SE continues to read these comments well after release...
Remember to also mention everytime that AST and SCH can heal just as well as WHM. So they bring WHM level healing and huge utility.
@SNESterday
Sad fact is even then. Would reduced mp cost, potency increased or empowered actions still be better then Utlities that Astro and Sch still both have.
Most likely Not. Who cares if our potencies are increased by 10% or our spells are stronger, Astros will give a Balance to a Dps or Sch Crit ability on Enemy and then a DPS would make Lily #2 and #3 useless. Then just ewer or Aetherflow will make Lily #1 useless.
And if you meant our healing potency is increased by 10% again means little since all 3 healers should still be able to clear content. If we do so much healing that groups only need to bring 1 Whm then Astro and Sch will be useless. Since that won't happen we are basically useless until Healers in general get overhauled.

Lily system aside for the moment, I want to thank you for relaying this information and for making it clear that community feedback is being closely monitoredGreetings!
First off, thank you all for the continued feedback regarding the upcoming changes to white mage in Patch 4.0. We've been reading through it all and sharing it with the team.
As some have already pointed out, Yoshida recently made a comment about how casting Cure II will now grant a lily 100% of the time. The information and data revealed during the recent media tour was from a build made in late April, and various actions have been modified since then. While we continue to collect and relay your valuable feedback to the dev. team, we ask you to keep that in mind and hang tight a bit longer, until the finalized information is revealed in the patch notes.
10 more days till the early access!![]()
