Somehow a few of you are trying to find something wrong with what I said when it's indefensible to not link to the original source, always cite your sources and what you changed. It would be different if the original artist was dead, or their site was dead, or they no longer want to be associated with their older artwork, but none of that is true. You are free to:
Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
Under the following terms:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
Reddit has a very bad habit of doing this, as they typically encourage their users to swipe content and post it to imgur so that the original artist doesn't find out they stole it.
I was not accusing Ama of any wrongdoing, only to link the source. Had Ama not indicated what the change was, people would keep posting it on the forum without knowing that it had been edited.
Why do you think I even mentioned this in the first place? I send a an email every week to imgur just to remove content for a single artist that is routinely stolen because the trolls like to raid their patreon.
