i dont think the market wards should be completely scrapped although i admit that if thats what eventually happened i wouldnt notice, what im saying is i dont see a way to link all markets with the way you enter the ward ad still have them be stable, i feel instead like what suggested above you should just remove or reduce the tax on retainers and have them be a psuedo-bazaar and in reference to unavoidable gil sinks being horrible, thats exactly what taxes are, maybe if i explain what im thinking of it would be clearer what i mean by a two way unavoidable gil sink.

What i see as the best option is to have a separate storage space to keep your items plus an ah like system be it blind bid or directbuy that is completely separate from the wards and globally connected where you would have perhaps a 5% tax on selling and a 5% tax on buying or just a 10% tax on one or the other either way is essentially the same, and the separate wards tax system would be abolished in favor of a flat tax that is noticably less than the ah on items sold in all wards. for example instead of battlecraft/upper/lower wards you would just have wards1/2/3 and the search would remain. whereas the planned implementation makes me feel as if im being forced to use the current wards as its human nature to avoid tax of any kind no matter what the ammount.

Let me just say this as well all gil sinks should not be unavoidable some convenience should have a price on it but when the gil sink is placed on a feature that is standard as well as avoidable people are going to want to avoid it. And when the way to avoid said tax is to use an archaic form of buying/selling over an industry standard i feel that is a poor implementation.
Again sorry for the long post but i feel its best to be as explicit as possible so as to avoid confusion.
