Not sure where to post this (already posted ping info etc). Has there been ANY communication at all in regards to this? I get the feeling that this thread will just fade into obscurity without any acknowledgment from SE. Are they planning to at least investigate this? In the evenings it seems the worst, and sometimes the game is almost unplayable due to 320-400ms ping that spikes. I am hoping we hear something, or at least they care enough about their player base to let us know something.

They might do something if the people here decide to go back to complain the General Forums.

    This is ridiculous.

While many complaints in here are just whining about 100 ms...

There are so many legit complaints and it stems from these two MAJOR ISSUES.

    1. South America has much higher ping than they should.
    2. There is PACKET LOSS coming from NTT's servers that you cannot route around.

    THESE NEED TO BE FIXED

Not only South America. Europeans are dealing with the same problems. I am facing a constant 10-30% packet loss on 204.2.229.234. I haven't really played much since the server move because of this.

Maybe everyone that is dealing with real high pings should cancel their sub and their pre-order to get SE's attention

Seriously this problem has been going on for MONTHS since Spectrum bought out Time Warner. Can't believe I am saying this, but I miss Time Warner!

Complains about 100ms are not legit because...? North americans should have better ping on their own data center than on the euro data center.

Yeah, the increase to 100ms is annoying but not game-breaking. What really grinds my gears is the new packet loss I'm experiencing (especially since they explicitly stated that the move would REDUCE this issue). I hardly notice the new delay, but I DO notice when I have to hit skills multiple times for them to trigger. Hadn't experienced this much at all before the move, now it's noticeable day and night (most of all during prime-time hours). I don't think SE will actually respond, though. They have no reason to- the move is done, nothing will be shifted again, and the anger is already fizzling out with the new SB info releases. This is just a containment thread so GD isn't flooded with MUH PING and STOP WITH THE MUH PING topics.

Well, it has been two weeks since this topic was created and we got zero responses from Square Enix on this subject. I guess that says a lot about how much they care about us.

I feel 1000% stupid knowing that all the months of subs I've payed, all the Collector Editions, all the Mogstation stuff that I bought for myself and to gift friends were literally used to fund a server relocation that screwed over the entirety of my country's player base.

It is really unfortunate that I love this game so much that I have been constantly auto-subbing with the 6 month option and I can't get my money back after this disappointment. I regret this immensely now. I guess I will play Stormblood's MSQ and wait patiently for my sub to run out and then quit this game.

I have constantly tried to recruit Brazilian players and convinced them this game's sub is worth every penny. Some of them played the game even though the sub is expensive for them to maintain. Guess what? We get shafted now. I am not even going to try and convince them to pay extra for a VPN service to get a miserable connection even like that.

I have spent my entire life as a gamer backing up Square Enix and supporting every damn thing that they do and I feel like a massive idiot now. I even waited these 2 weeks checking the post daily because some part of me still believed that we would get some kind of feedback, even if it was to say "oh, that sucks, but we can't do anything". I guess we're not worth even the time for that kind of answer.

    Thanks for nothing.
