I feel as though the issue is with my ISP, rather than of the server move, even if I would see an increase in ping with the move to the west coast.

Type of Issue/Feedback: Sporadic High Packet Loss only at IP 204.2.229.234
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Ting
    State/Country: Virginia, USA
    Date/Time: Since NA Server Move
    World Name: Balmung
Frequency: Every weekday between 3pm EST and 3am EST - several times a minute - and all day on weekends

I haved used pingplotter at a trace interval of 5 seconds to monitor my connection to 204.2.229.86 when connected to Balmung over the last week. I have found that my connection is packet loss free with pretty good ms until my connection from Virginia goes from 129.250.195.46 to 204.2.229.234. At 204.2.229.234, I lose an average of 10-20% of my packets. In-game, this causes the following situation: I queue up the wrong 3 second spell, so I immediately move to interrupt it, except it suceeds if my packets drop. This is a very huge problem for avoiding AoE. I normally can dodge fine, except when my packets drop and I can't.

I've tested this in-game as well - I typically can interrupt a spell at .3 second. However, if I am experiencing packet loss to 204.2.229.234, I will not be able to interrupt the spell at even .5 second, and sometimes not even between 1-3 seconds.

Edit: Found a post from 2014 that references high packet loss within the NTT network while playing League of Legends. Could this be related to our issues since both problem hop and the one before it belong to NTT? NTT's site says we should not be experiencing more than 0.1% packet loss over a month while using their network. Using a VPN that changes the last hop before 204.2.229.86 to something outside of NTT's network seems to resolve the packet drops.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueofleg...nning_through/

Edit2: Today at Tuesday 11 AM EST, I have no packet loss. There's definitely something going on towards your guys' end once my connection hits the FFXIV servers during weekends/"prime time" which is causing up to a third of my connection to be entirely dropped for up to 3 seconds. I spent several hours looking for a solution on my end over the holiday weekend, and the only thing that worked for me to fix the connection was Mudfish with FullVPN enabled. It almost seems like our traffic is being filtered in general once it hits a certain threshold of users. I also cannot download or patch FFXIV without using a VPN - the connection will constantly drop and cause the download to cancel. I do not have this problem with the WoW servers that are also located in LA - I have 25ms with no packet loss during primetime vs FFXIV's 80ms and 30% packetloss during mid-peak hours.

Edit3: Still using Mudfish to resolve packetloss issues. Their item for FFXIV works for me now, so I no longer have to use FullVPN.

I want to point out that I literally made an account for the forums just to post here because its so absurd and affects my ability to play and enjoy the game to such an extent. If I'm having to pay a monthly fee to play the game, I expect the game to play flawlessly

Type of Issue/Feedback: FAR increased general ping from a steady 21ms to the old server, now to 95-110 with spikes over 130. In standard context I can no longer play many jobs I enjoy to my standards due to the inability to double weave without massive GCD clipping and generally sluggish response, or swiftcast/sharpcast not affecting my next spell occasionally even after the buff has been sitting on my bar for several seconds. At worst I can't play anything at all due to long periods of time where I can actually take no actions whatsoever. Examples on BLM I will activate enochian and it will not take effect ever, or I will be unable to cast any spells (everything greyed out) even though I look at my MP bar and I have way more than enough MP to cast anything. On monk I've had situations where I have hit GCDs 6 times in a row, watched the animation start up and GCD timer start and then have it be cancelled into absolutely no action 6 times in a row. No oGCD use or anything to cause canceling of the skill either, it just stops for no reason. These are things that used to happen when I was currently getting d/ced off the game, now they just happen constantly on a daily basis without a d/c just due to huge ping spikes and packet loss.

Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): RCN Cable

    State/Country: Pennsylvania, USA

Date/Time: Started happening immediately upon server move.

    World Name: Leviathan

Frequency: Effects are present constantly and the ping spikes and such seem to happen with no real reason or timing I can never tell when I will just not be able to play the game. Seems more frequent during prime time 5PM-10PM EST but can happen any time.

    Traceroute records https://gyazo.com/97f2569f2c60a41fbbf5c851fcaa0a4c
Just one traceroute I ran for this purpose. By far not the worst one I've seen, but shows enough for this purpose. Huge ping variance in NTT's own node structure, it is not due to my ISP but rather apparent instability in the routing right next to the data centers.

I literally get better, more stable connection to EU servers now than the servers in my own country. There is something EXTREMELY wrong with that. I'm honestly holding off on pre-ordering Stormblood to see if this gets resolved because I can only see this getting even worse when the servers are flooded versus now when everything is relatively dead. I just can't see spending a bunch of money when I won't even be able to play the game properly.

tomorrow well hit 2 weeks of it. lots of complaining, and no dev answer so far. we all want to know if SE is taking any action regarding this. all of us who pre ordered stormblood before server location changed and had a good ping, we deserve a decent answer. its not a free game, were paying for this. Please, take care of ur costummers, or they will end up somewhere else, playing some other game. Be honest with us and let us know if any maintenance will happen at any time.

I believe I already posted but after testing I am extremely frustrated at this. I can no longer get my Duality Aoelian edge into my Opener under Trick Attack and for most of my classes bar MNK my entire buff application is off so they fall off one gcd sooner. Not to mention MCH can barely fit the last slug shot in Wildfire. I say barely because it's about 50/50, sometimes it fits sometimes it doesn't. I can no longer double weave some of the low clip skills likr power surge either.

I can't stand this because it feela extremely unfair to be suddenly weaker over no fault of my own. Why do skills lag in the first place? Can't they all clip like Geirskogul does? It still works the same as pre move as far as I can tell.
