"Fun" is a flexible term. So, your definition of fun, will not mean the same thing as another person's definition of fun. For example, you find a parser to be "fun." I find a parser to be a life sucking tool on the game. It is all about opinion and past experience's or lack their of in other MMO's.
Let me ask you this. You do a savage or extreme primal. You enter and then you do really low (just a feeling you have) you do it over 20 times and you think you still do good and then later find out you didn't do so well as you thought it be.What would you think or feel at this point? You know what this is like? The feeling of doing good. People asume, not everyone but some do because they see hard crits and so on, but has no meaning when they do lower everywhere else. So yes a paser can improve you form of rotations in an actuall fight. There is no maybe, it WILL help them improve. If you had a parser avaible and let's say you did 40% of out of let's say 75-80% of what you should do, then adjust your rotation depending on the damage you do. Suddenly you see a change and you try to change again to get even more damage. There is no ''maybe'' it will improve players who are using it as a tool to help themselves out, which is what a parser do. Do rotation lead to issues with harrasement? Sure, but then you rarely see it even when so many pc player using it. The reason isn't becaue it's ''bannable'' using it, the reason is because it's harrasment calling people shit. SE think the community has no flaws and then think it will add it. There is so much flaw in the community. I see even the most amazing, great and helpful people in game and on the forum who gets spitted on their faces for trying to help others.

Let me put your example here: ''Can a parser improve a persons rotation'' You say maybe, I say yes. Why? People who actually gave out rotations used a parser to see how to maximize it. Then you say ''Do parser lead to issues with harrasment''
That's like saying; I can use chat in every duty finder and it can lead to harrasment. There is 90% more chance of being harrased by a persn whos not willing to improve and help the group, than a person using a parser harrasing you.

And like you said ''Fun'' is a flexibale term. You said people shouldn't care about a parser as long they have fun. So I will repeat myself; it's fun for some people to improve themselves. And keep in mind, some people's ''fun'' isn't fun for others. A guy spamming fire and ice between every 2 cast might be fun for that person, but clearly not as much fun for the other people in the group. If you want to go with that mentality, nothing would been done and if it was, it would take ages. I highly doubt people want to get stuck in 1 hour expert roulette when they are sick and tired of the same 2 dungeons for months. I doubt it's fun when something is fun when you hit enrage every 2-3 fights. If you are good at something and you do the same thing all over again, not will you only save time but other players time too. It's like saying it's fine to work at your job for 5 years and be bad at it as you were the first week because you weren't used to it. There is no asset to that.

Like I said, having the feeling you do good vs actually doing good is a huge difference.
