When it comes to healing it can have a set number that reduces points for over healing which can be recovered by doing dps or other tasks like mentioned previously(maybe even buffs?).

While tanks is a combination of how much damage is mitigated and how much damage is dealt.

It would incentive players to push their limits for a high rating. An average person or grade that to be shooting for is upper Bs or A rating while those who min/max everything master the mechanics, etc can work towards gaining an S ranking. If you get a C or lower then it means you need to work on your performance. The higher the ranking the higher the rewards.

After dungeon completion you would get your rank and stuff like dps, overall damage, interrupts, etc.
I like this idea. The developers refuse to add an ingame parser, but a grading system is another beneficial idea to players who are trying to learn how to properly play their class and want to improve.

how can this endgame content community get more toxic with parsers when almost everyone there is already using one? Also, i hardly see any toxicity.

Who said good players are toxic? Aren't they the ones writing all these guides and rotations for everyone else to benefit and learn from?

Not every good player is toxic. No one going for progression in his right mind is going to take a toxic player as a member for their static.

Toxic players in my opinion are mostly bad players acting all high and know it all. They are giving raiding a bad image.

If we are adding some reward system for good dpsing and healing, i can already see dps staying in aoes because "i dont want to lose the reward by stopping my rotation, get good at healing me", tanks having dangerous behavior like not using their defense cds at all so that their healer friend can have a lot to heal, and so on. Like skipable mecanics and multiple path donjons that players do in a straight line, people are gonna abuse this very soon to optimize their playtime.

Also i love to take some time to read the skills description and try to find myself the optimal rotation, which is why i didnt read a guide for them yet. It is one of the biggest motivation i have to go get the next skill. Having a tutorial who would say "do that and that and that, in this order and nothing else" would kill this pleasure for me. What's next, a boting option that will play my character for myself once i turn it on, like there is in some corean mmos ? Oh wait, once the squadron IA will be effective, it could be extended to players.

Why are you so obsessed with that shit? Really? Why that measurement dick contest? Why?

Why that necessity of said everyone "Hey, look at my numbers, I'm the very best one in this game". You need this to feel better. It makes insecure people feel better about themselves. If not, I don't understand this obsession.

I have a idea. Forget those damn shits and play the game for fun.

Some people get enjoyment from pushing their limits and upping their standard of play over time. Imagine a racing game without a lap timer or a shooter without a without a scoreboard. If it's a personal parser only, what's the issue here? If you don't like it, just ignore it.

I understand the push the limits. I do it too. What I don't understand is the fact that you need show everyone, get better things just for it or something like that, or even ask features to measure other people and rank them in order to exclude them (yes, I'm talking about FFlogs). I never need a reward to play my best, and I didn't judge others or exclude them for not being at my ideal performance like it is happening.

It's not about showing off, for me FFlogs is more to get a feel of where I stand, to compare myself to those better than me and then to improve and get higher scores.

While I honestly don't mind the idea of a parser as I have said here before, I do not trust (I'm sure the devs don't either) the playerbase with something like this.

Yada yada toxicity reasons blah blah. You people are already using outside sources. Just continue to use that. I'm quite certain the devs have better things to do than implement something that most people (if not all) on this thread are already doing.

Not all of us even have the ability to use it. As a PS4 player, I got no chance of seeing my own numbers whatsoever. Whenever I want to test out rotations I am forced to bother friends who are on PC.
As I'm raiding I always try to improve my skill and even if another rotation is just marginally better, knowing that and optimising is what I'm having fun doing in this game. Would be nice if I could do that on my own and with ingame methods.
