SA ping over 200ms

With the new move from old datacenter to the the new ones, Most of South America players now face a > 200ms latency.

Im near Sao Paulo and used to get 170ms in game latency. Now it has become 210ms. It wasn't a very good experience then (getting hit by phantom AoEs and move canceling skills that were already cast), and now its just going to be even worse.

This has got to be the dummest decision they ever made regarding infrastructure, with no regards to player base outside of the US who were playing on NA servers... EU playing together with NA? Not anymore. SA with a reasonable game experience? Not anymore. People from the east cost with low ping (only the majority of the playerbase). Whelp, not anymore.

This is a sad day in FFXIV history

Same for the Netherlands without a vpn, and even with vpn it gets awfully close to 200

My friend gets 300ms (180 before)

I used to get the following latencies.

Before:
- Without VPN tunneling - 180ms
- With VPN tunneling(WTFast/Battleping) - 120-140

Now:
- Without VPN tunneling - 350ms
- With VPN tunneling(WTFast/Battleping) - 190-200ms

Anyway, I would really like to thank SE for taking this decision without any regards to the South American player base. Incredible job.

Went from 170 to 235, Brazil too. I think the only SA country that has a decent route to USW is Peru, so maybe the ping will improve to peruvian players, but for any other SA player it'll get worse, way worse.

170 with VPN when the datacenters were in Montreal. When they moved them, I got 290 without a VPN, then 235 with it. GG Yoshi-p. Argentina here.

Tbh people that has been playing this since 2013 and paying during all these years they have a RIGHT to voice their opinion as many times as needed. You cannot expect them to keep quiet while they been screwed over. When they are about to throw away 3 years of sub.
