VAGABOND is a roleplaying Free Company with an emphasis on exploration, relic hunting, and anthropological evaluation of Eorzea, with an interest in mercenary affairs.

The company began officially three years ago under a different name, leader, and purpose. Since its conception, Vagabond has transitioned into the intimate, people focused environment it is today, under the guidance of Leadsage Liliere Lecalice, and continues to live to its mission statement to serve Eorzea and its people one discovery at a time.

We have reopened our doors once more, and we need the most radiant of Balmung to thrive.

In Character Info

We seek the following types to further our mission to a better and brighter Eorzea:
-Adventurers, those unafraid of unknown or perhaps dangerous territory
-Scholars and those interested in the origins of culture and societies of both past and present
-Tradesmen, especially those gifted with silver tongues who know their way around the black markets

We have a base of operations in the Lavender Beds, Ward 9 Plot 2, and acceptance of the contract entitles characters to room and board and equal use of shared facilities.

Out of Character Info

-This company is best suited for audiences 21 years of age and older, with few exceptions.
-This company is a safe zone for all types, and intolerance is strictly prohibited.
-This company communicates in game and uses the game's utilities (tells, mail, etc.). We also have a dedicated Discord server where the remainder of our rules and expectations are posted.

Is This The Company For Me?

-As a leader, I believe in intimacy. I believe that everyone should have a voice, and those voices add to the company's harmony; too many voices and we're just creating noise. Small groups give us a chance to work in more detail and give more time to individuals, as well get to know one another on a friendly basis. For those who are not fond of huge companies or would like to try something more controlled, I cordially invite you.

-One of the selling points about the company is how accommodating it is to the full time working person or student. Many companies have strict scheduled events where our times are lenient and understanding to circumstance.

-Another selling point is that this free company is designed for the person who is individually driven and motivated but wants an opportunity to share their experience with others. This company is perfect for those who are self motivated and self paced but want to be a part of something bigger. Because the beholder is responsible for their own experience, this is not a place where one will be dictated what is right and wrong to do and when, nor is this a babysitting service; let us help you shape your experience, and get you as much or little involved in others as desired. We only ask that you keep your communication clear.

-Having trouble landing missions or bounties in a large or formal group? Missions here are individual, and given as frequent as they are finished.

-Something you wish to learn or understand about the game? Between the leader and the core members, all classes have been leveled, theorycrafted, and studied and all can be taught.

-This all looks very formal I'm sure, but out of character I probably run the goofiest group of goons who pine over memes and nihilism, most of my time grinding content with them is spent hilariously inebriated, and our pride is that we do things like other FCs but...well...slower and worse. But I wouldn't trade the experience for the world, I know they feel the same, and to find like minded people with which to share it all. With restructuring mostly complete, it is time we stopped hiding in the shadows and opened the doors to prospective members.

-We offer no bells, no whistles, no crazy graphics or superfluous websites. We're just humble sh*tposters grinding tomestones like the next guy. We get together. We roleplay. We also suffer in other games. We keep it simple.

How To Apply

-Send an application in game or tell to any member available. I can also negotiate here on the forums. Messages will be evaluated with the leader who will then reach out and negotiate a time to chat one on one. Prior to joining, there is a small interview given by the leader both in and out of character, and the in character story of Vagabond is told upon the interview.

Side Notes

-We are outgrowing our free company estate! The core is grinding to upgrade the size of our estate, which we WILL get, are a quarter of the way there, and if this interests you then please join us!
-Know anything about coordinating events and leading people? We are looking for potential to raise to an authoritative position.
