Fatal DirectX Error 11000002

hi so here my setup

fx 6300
1060 3gb
16gb ddr3
sata 1 tera
windows 10 creator

blue screen (sometime when i turn off the pc, never had one before ff14 bug), error dx11, dx9 only on this game.

game mode on win 10 turn off with regedit too,
driver ok
no overclock

So update, I got my laptop back from the service center again, its downgraded to anniversary edition, game ran fine for about forty minutes before it started to crash the same way again.

I honestly do not know what to do anymore. RAM has been removed and replaced, video card has been replaced to a brand new one. The only reassurance here is that it runs a little longer before the screen flickers and dies, giving false hope.

Thanks for turning a 3000$ machine into a dud, game T_T

Problem is still prevalent on NVIDIA GTX 1080.

ok so i removed 2 old ram and keep in place my good one and the game run fine since yesterday ... but i keep you informed.

I've had problems on a wide variety of AMD GPUs since ARR came out in some sort or fashion. Running in DX9 does seem to prolong your time before said crashes occur, but its not a solution. Creaters update didn't break this game but it might have added to it. Creaters update seems to lower performance in many games especially with high end cards.

The last time this game ran good for me on an AMD gpu is FFXIV 1.0. Yeah, 1.0 ran pretty darn good.

I've not had any of these said problems on my 980, however, I'm seeing a few cases with the 1080 which I can't comment on since I don't own this card, although if enough of you that own this card and contact nvidia, they may take notice as you're buying their very high end hardware.

Seems that most people that have 970's are having problems as well, which seems odd, since I hardly see a person with a 980/Ti posting with similar problems. The memory leak issues might be prevalent on nvidia cards aswell, which would make sense that a higher number of 970 owners are having these issues, due to the 970s memory architecture only utilizing 3.5GB of it's 4GB memory at it's rated speed, whereas the last 512MB runs at a much, much slower speed, lowering game performance and possibly causing a number of other problems.

I will be looking into this issue after the Stormblood release.

Perhaps we get lucky and some fixes are made when Stormblood hits, since the graphical interface is being upgraded.

So as I said above, I removed two rams (old) and since the game no longer dx crashing, before it bug on a r9 280 and a 1060 gtx, and this was the only game that bugged on my pc . so try test your rams

Edit 1: Gonna try a clean install of a windows build prior to the Creators Update as it seems it is directly connected to the error.

I've been playing FFXIV with my Titan XP's at 100hz since August 2016 and I've had 0 problems. Ever since last Saturday I've been crashing 5-30 minutes into playing. All I did was upgrade to the new NVidia driver and upgraded to creators.

Sorry to say but you just might have just screwed yourself. Try disabling the game feature in the new Creators update and rolling back to the past driver that was working. That's all I can really suggest as I don't know anything about Nvidia. GL

Edit: Also try disabling the XBOX gaming recorder, might be helpful as the new update turns the DVR back on.

I have an update. I decided to troubleshoot and ultimately I reformatted and used an old windows 10 version 15XX. I had 0 crashes while playing for 2 hours. After this I decided to upgrade to the creators edition and FFXIV crashed within 5 minutes of logging in. Same Directx fatal error code.

2h of playing is not revelant with this bug, but its 4 day for me and no more crash, for me its was 1 ram apparently but 0 problem for other game.
