    Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Version 10.0.15063 (now Creator, but also with Pre-Creator Update)
    Latest Radeon Software 17.6.1 and a few older ones

    - I did a clean Windows installation to solve the Problem (didn't help...)
    - I did not change any Hardware lately
    - I'm not having any problems with other Games

    Hopefully this Error is fixed with the Stormblood release (fingers crossed)



    btw: If someone of Importance is reading this:
    It would be nice to get some response from Square-Enix or an community manager in an support forum.
    I'm used to better support from other official forums, like in Guild Wars 2 or World of Warcraft.

    English is not my native language, so please excuse any misspellings and grammatical errors.

    UPDATE:

    The Game seems to run stable for 2 days now. Maybe it's fixed with the following things I did. "I hope I don't summon the Error again with this post... "

    - I bought Stormblood and tried playing with no driver updates -> got the same error + freezing ingame and while closing the game
    then I did the following:

    - don't know if it's important, but first I disabled automatic Updates in Windows 10
    - clean uninstall of old drivers
    - downloaded and installed the "Radeon Software Crimson Edition with AMD Gaming Evolved App"
    On the right side: http://support.amd.com/de-de/downloa...%2010%20-%2064
    it's the Radeon Software Version 16.10.1

    - after that I uninstalled every overlay app, like Raptr, Overwolf and some Videocapture software, which came with the drivers I think

    -> Game runs fine in dx11 mode till now!
