    Dual Monitor Support

    Two things:
    1. No Crash on screen switch
    2. Support for playing on dual monitors

Basically, if you have dual monitors, you're screwed right now. The mouse isn't constrained in fullscreen, so you can accidentaly click off screen and crash the game.

It would be nice to have the other monitor serve as an "information hub" so rather than all the on-screen items like chat, hp/mp/tp, exp, map, and everything cluttering the game screen, allow these to be moved onto a second, dedicated, screen.

I don't fully understand why clicking on another monitor causes a crash, but I know that it happens. Would fixing the alt-tab issue also fix this? They've stated that they're fixing that issue, I just hope it fixes this too.

This probably won't be addressed (if they choose to) until ver 2.0. I recommend playing in windowed mode (if you aren't already), in the same rez you were playing in, and then make sure that its on the secondary screen so the desktop environment doesn't get in the way.

I am playing in windowed mode, so I can actually look up recipies and do other things without crashing the game. However, 1680x1050 expands to larger than the actual screen (I've seen this in some other games, while some work properly). I've got my DE on my secondary screen (which is smaller), so my primary has the game on it.

I didn't develop FFXIV, but if I had to guess, I'd say the same issue causes both crashes; fixing it should fix both problems. The game seems to crash whenever anything steals focus.

I use 2 monitors. One is FFXIV in window the other is a web browser for info. Having SE provide additional things I can put on the second monitor would be amazing! (Like a parser)

This should only happen if the game resolution is set to higher than your desktop resolution. At 1920x1200 resolution for both game (windowed mode) and windows, ffxiv launches with just a small border on the left. Just have to grab the window with the mouse and move it to the left a few pixels and it takes up the whole screen, even covering the windows task bar (sometimes have to move it around a bit before taskbar is moved to background [windows bug i think, taskbar is supposed to be always on top].)

I play on dual screens and it is quite effective if you know the work around. But alas you can't talk about 3rd party apps so I don't know how I could help...
