To the people constantly telling everyone to "stop complaining" and "wait and see", could you kindly just leave us be?

Some of you people have WAY too much faith in SE, to the point it's worrying. They make mistakes. They've made plenty in the past, and they're about to make one now. Voicing our concern with this is perfectly reasonable. They made a silly decision, and hopefully if the negative response is big enough they'll rethink it and move their servers to a central location in time where everyone can be happy.

Since when did waiting and pretending everything would just work out ever lead to anything good? Criticism is what pushes things forward, not sugarcoating and white knighting. We have horrendous balance issues to the point where tanks and healers couldn't get a new job for 4.0 because everyone wanted to pretend things are fine. Just think about that for a second.

All jokes aside, people are acting like everyone who weighed the decision at SE is probably sitting in a corner eating glue and crayons. I'm sure if it even is on West Coast that there are a number of reasons that went into making that choice, not solely location.

It looks like internet service for the data center is via NTT. Despite my being physically located clear across the country from where the data center is located, my network connection is routing to NTT's network WITHIN state and isn't taking any funky twists and turns. The sooner network traffic connects to the data center's ISP, the more room they have to influence connection quality because that's the point where they are the customer.

I just love it when people on the forums claim to know more about big decisions like this then the people who actually work for SE and are in charge of this stuff. Smacks a bit of arrogance. Just my 2 cents.

You're speaking as if you can somehow sway some change, and that's simply being unrealistic, there is no way you or anyone change this, no matter what.
The only ones pretending are the ones that think they can somehow change SE's minds on what was a decision made last year with many months of logistics and a lot of money behind it.
