My latency/ping went from an average of 92ms to 222ms+.I'm from the Caribbean (Puerto Rico)
Traceroute records
Still playable but everything feels slow and delayed.
I've noticed that most latin american players (South America,Central America and the Caribbean) are all getting routed to Europe.

It is because your ISP is routing your packets to the wrong cable. You may contact their support telling they are routing NTT's 204.2.229.10 (NA) packets thru' Europe and that is no good. Some routing is adaptive and takes some days before routing correctly after a change. It maybe fix itself but just notify your ISP support desk about the issue. It also may be the direct cable to NA (at least, the part they leased) under maintenance and packets are correctly routed by alternatives. Depending the type of maintenance, rerouting may take weeks. My latency/ping went from an average of 92ms to 222ms+.I'm from the Caribbean (Puerto Rico)

Please lets try to at least have some voice and demand for an answer make threads and try to fight for it , its been 2 weeks...
Looking at 4.0 abilities it does appear they are reducing a decent portion of Buff abilities in quick succession, which is definitely one way to reduce the delay between abilities however the only job that seems to have the most to fear is Mudra Lag. So here's a thought, what if they just eliminated Rabbit Medium from jutsu input? The Rabbit can still exist if you do any input other than Mudra, but much like how the Ten-Chi-Jin ability restricts you to only using those 3 Mudra, why not have it where when you use a Mudra during a jutsu, it blacks it out so that you can't double input by accident?
By doing this a huge portion of people who have seen lag with their Mudra inputs will no longer have to worry about accidentally hitting twice due to delay and the only way you can mess up a jutsu is if you were to use another ability not tied to Mudra.
Hitting twice shouldn't be an issue - the mudras are now client side trusted IIRC, so even though the ninjutsu won't update in a timely manner, the mudras should still go through. That leads to the common occurrence of the the client first displaying the jutsu animation of the ninjutsu you'd get before your last mudra and then, mid animation, it updates to the correct jutsu animation.
High latency ninjas are screwed either way, tho - Ninjutsu still retains the lag and Ten-Chi-Jin asks for it 3 times in quick succession before you're allowed to do anything else, leading to escalating losses in GCD. And from what I've seen, the poisons become a general +damage trait, which means Fuma will be relatively worse to use, thereby increasing the edge of people who can use Raiton with little clipping.
im far east coast. my ping to na servers is actually a little more than my ping to eu servers. both are around 100. perfectly playable. unless you are sporting 200+ i don't really see much reason to complain.
SE hasn't responded to this or the official thread on the tech forums. I'm guessing they're letting SB hype and WHM rage bury the server issue. Not surprised, but still disappointed.
Player
The game is uttery sluggish and it makes some fight and PvP really hard to enjoy.
Dying from an AoE when you're character is obviously at least one SCH dome away from it is... frustrating to say the least.
I just find sad that I had less lag issue during the WoW vanilla era with a ADSL connexion in a small town in the middle of the forest.
I'm in one of the EU capital with a fiber connection and it ssometime feels I'm playing on a game with server based in Japan with a 52kbits connection
The game server is 'alright' but i wont lie when i got server (lived in Quebec) on my side i could greed & double weave easily but with increase of 48-80 ping the dream is long gone.Doesn't mean we cant voice our opinion yes relocation was butt yes it was interest of square for money sake. With DDOS attacks since release of SB Square might deal more with is ISP to get maybe better spot for servers or saving more money i mean it square enix IS corporation after all they wont unnoticed that.Sadly they wont move for awhile with the reports ive seen they double profit on NA so we gotta deal with it until California server cant make requirements of FFXIV or SE got better deal else where they cannot say No make more profits. If you re still Butthurt by the change fanfest is coming soon there be Q&A there a chance they say PR response or anwser the truth might consider or not.
