I did not call him bad, only that I doubted his numbers because of his ping and I was right, it affects your performance like it or not.
And even if you can still clear or do well the game is still a sloggy unfun mess.
I didnt even notice a difference going from 100 to 30. I never had issues at 100 as it was. people are overstating things severely.
I could play at 150 ping just fine. But right now, my ping and my fiance's ping is over 430 and that is a drastic change. We're here in Florida on top of it. I can move out of an attack the second I see it triggered, after the two second timer is cast (meaning I'm out two seconds or more), I'm still hit. When I heal, the HP bars are doing an odd lag. Honestly I hope they fix something, I'm not going into SB with 430+ ping.
Never had issues beating content playing from the West Coast. Beat A12S several months ago. A small change in ping really does nothing to the gameplay. West Coast players really had no problems all this time playing with the server being on the East Coast.
Meh, I went from 53ms to 61ms, and I live in Georgia, dont even notice the difference. I am trying to figure out how people's ping went from 50 to 175ms. Like explain please
It's simple geography. Georgia is very south compared to Montreal, so the relative distance to Montreal (1,969.5 km) and Sacramento (3,971.9 km) from Georgia is relatively less than someone who lives in Northeast U.S. Let's take someone who lives in NYC as an example. NYC to Montreal (598.5 km) and Sacramento (4,536.8 km) are significantly farther apart. I.e. your distance roughly doubled, but other's distance potentially went up almost by an entire magnitude so they will see a larger increase than you.
For me, in NC, my signal to them routes through Atlanta. That's the direction Spectrum is sending it--Supposedly the fastest way.
My ping has nearly doubled at peak time. I was at around 50-80, now I'm at 90-150.
