Playing from NYC and I've got a ping of 30 ms..lol that is more then fine. I'll be moving to Southern California soon anyway....but either way, boycotting isn't going to work :P However if people keep having issues and it goes on for a while...SE will most likely look into it. ^^

B..but..Iromi, didn't you know, moving the servers to Sacramento automatically adds like 100ms to our pings unless we are in Cali, utterly breaking the game!! It's horrible...

In truth, that 30ms ping from you, an east coast user, ought to be sufficient to get one and all who are whining a bout lengthy pings to stop whining about SE and go talk to their ISP about bad routing. It won't, of course, but it's proof, as if it were needed, that bad routing is the main issue people face.

Bio and bane delay is insane compared as before, and even with the new delay of bane, it still goes off before bio shows on the target. It can also happen to bio II, using bane after bio II, if quick enough, bio II does not transfer because dots pop slow.

Now that comment made me genuinely curious as to what caused the lagspikes for you, as I didn't get all that many lagspikes before servers moved, and I am from New Zealand, especially since you were right next to the servers. Maybe the line connecting you to the local server was dodgy?

A change in server location means a change in how your connection to the server is routed. Lag spikes are, for the most part, caused by packet loss, which a lot of people who were routed through Level3 had to deal with. No longer routed through Level3, packet loss reduced, fewer lag spikes.

It seems specious when you make that statement before you move the servers to a secret location that you know will subsequently screw over vast swaths of players to having -- you guessed it, 200ms latency, AT BEST.

But don't worry, stop complaining! 200ms is fine, great, perfectly playable and enjoyable. In fact, those under 200ms should really be lagged out by the server to 200ms. I mean...that's how they've proclaimed the game should be played, right? It's probably better at 200ms if you really give it a chance!

200ms is indeed fine, perfectly playable, and enjoyable. That is what I get now on the US servers - and I have not had any problems playing or really noticed any difference from whatever it was I had before.

Please, continue your rants about how 200 ping is unplayable while the rest of us laugh at your first world "problems" and keep enjoying the perfectly playable 200+ ping. The popcorn has never been this salty and it's absolutely delicious.

Haha, so much this XD this was what it was like for me at 400 ping+, but if you memorized his rotation, and moved just before he would put his aoe down (The time period between his moves is consistant) then you could still beat him just fine. NIN was pretty unplayable for me though. Those mudra would make me so mad.

That is not related to the distance from the server, it's purely down to bad routing. I mean look we've had players from NYC reporting a 30ms ping today, there's no way whatsoever that any significant increase in ping time for anyone is due to the move itself, it's bad routing. A small increase in ping might be attributable to the move itself, maybe a 30-50ms increase (at most), but beyond that it's all down to bad routing. That will ultimately improve, and with pressure on your ISP you might be able to get them to refresh the routing on their end which may actually help you.
