Wow, this is probably Final Fantasy XIV's biggest screw up since 1.0 version.
I thought they would have thought out the best course of action with the data center move, but it seems like they didn't care about where the chips fell.

My ping went from 65-68 to 103-105. Not a huge increase... but enough to annoy me.

As someone who played xiv for 3 years on japan servers from ohio before moving to excalibur, i'm not too worried about the change lol.

When the move was announced I was begging this wouldn't be in Cali and instead somewhere like Texas or something, look where it is now!

Kinda weird for me, I play EU DC anyway but I was curious, I had 120~ on old, now 173. I looked at it and was like "That isn't even that bad", but that's probably because I play a lot of Chinese server MMOs including the Chinese edition of ff14 and I'm fairly used to 280~ MS.

Mostly have to check if you are suffering from packet loss, though it seems EU was ok in that front even in Canada. My connection dropped by like 6-10 ping here in Texas (on a good day mind you) but most importantly i don't suffer packet loss anymore (would go to the 20%s frequently)Kinda weird for me, I play EU DC anyway but I was curious, I had 120~ on old, now 173. They are most likely losing all subscriptions from South America. It got unplayable for us.
What a ridiculous idiotic decision, it's like they didn't learn anything from when the servers were in japan and went too west again, way to kill your game again.
So since SE is unable to learn from their past mistakes and from other companies mistakes and since in the best case scenario they'll move their servers again in 2 years (extremly unlikely) could they at least consider making it easier to double weave OGCDs?
