I'm going that the Original poster is still on pre-56k internets.. That has to be it... Multiplex.. I don't know. I don't see any difference or changes in the games latency.
Is it reset Tuesday yet.
I question whether I'm playing a PvE game with PvP mixed in, or I am I playing a PfG.
What? I do not know why it is so hard to get people to understand what I am talking about:
Deleting server tics (what game does this? my god and I think it effects BLM the most because of mp returns?)
Having dots appear like they should. Once I cast bio, then use bane, bane should transfer the bio, no reason for dots appear so slow. BRD also suffer from this and maybe some other jobs.
Lustrate/Benediction/hollowed ground/ Holmgang/ living dead are too slow.
All abilities are too slow and runs into clipping too much, meaning once i use an ogcd, I try cast a ocd, there is too much wait for me to wait for before I am allowed to release the ocd
Hitting abilities and failing to use.
Going with ^ hitting cleric, failing to drop, so you hit it twice right after because of that and you still have it on but on cd because it really read both taps that time.
Casting blizzard III and hearing the effect but no astral ice (rare)
Killing something when the chain timer is 2 seconds left to go then seeing "time up" We should get 10 seconds like the timer says, not 7.
Leve time bonus, same as ^ if you complete it say 15:02 you do not get the time bonus.
When something is dead, it is dead, do not let us keep using CDs on something dead.
When something is stunned it is stunned, do not let things still hit us 1 second after it got stunned.
Holy stun effect is slower then molasses
LBs being released, start in animation but person is killed, LB meter gone, no LB effect
Hitting stuff with CDs on something that is dead already, and using resources in the process.

THIS lag, (game coding/ animation lock, slow server processing speeds, whatever you wanna call it) always existed, even at 20-40 ms, having 110 MS just makes it worse and less enjoyable. Everyone I talk to sees stuff like this and makes me confused as hell when people say " I do not lag"

These are all normal game play for me ^^;;; Oh dear /OceaniaHaving dots appear like they should. Once I cast bio, then use bane, bane should transfer the bio, no reason for dots appear so slow.
Benediction too slow.

But not 100% of the time! So I blame my ISP and countries third world internet service!

Us west coast players have been playing the game with ~150+ ping the since the game has been out and it is fine. They said the game was made with 200 ping in mind.

100 ms isn't ideal, but...unplayable? I'm guessing you don't live in an area where that's the norm, because almost all servers are on the west cost instead of the east.
Hmm. Here I was thinking I jumped the gun in moving to Chaos so soon cause of raid scheduling, but it looks like I was right on the ball. Haven't been on in a while but it'll be hilarious if I get better ping on Chaos than on Aether
So I'm finally home and I ran some tests. The difference between Chaos and Aether for me is on average TEN (10) milliseconds in favor of Aether, albeit some of Aether's highs are greater than Chaos's lows. I'm more or less smack dab in the middle of both of them, hovering around 102ms. Mind you, this is double what I had before.
In short, my connection to the NA servers is just as good as my connection to the EU ones. Not significantly better, and sometimes a little worse.
Nice job fixing it SE >_>
EDIT: Oh, btw, I can still double weave just fine and I'm a DRG main, so git gud OP

It is a ISP issue tbh. My boyfriend and I live in the same city with different ISPs. Before move, FFXIV was nearly unplayable for me with 75 ms because Spectrum loves to route through the Level 3 bottleneck and cause major packet loss. Meanwhile on his end with a different isp, he has similar ping but zero packet loss. After move, he sees a uptick in ping to 100ms but he sees no change and still has zero input lag. He has always even now can load into zones in 2 seconds and experiences zero screw-ups with combos related to input lag. Meanwhile, I now experience zero packet loss but very little difference in ping (decrease to 65-68) but am finally able to not screw up my cooldowns and combos. For the longest time he thought I was making up how as Black mage main my ice abilities would never restore my mana without a good 6 second delay but he believes me now after seeing how much smoother I can play. Loading in after logging in is now instant. Something which he continues to experience despite the move and ping increase. Not an isp issue if a large amount of the population sees the problem on different isps on different distances, etc. All I see here is the few people commenting simply does not see the delays. It is very annoying. The support desk and FC chest is still ungodly slow too. A

The only people with a legit right to complain are those from South America and other similar regions that are getting 300+ ms latency due to them allegedly being routed through Europe. THOSE numbers are what needs some working on by SE.
Those getting just a wee smidgen above 100ms? You guys seriously need to get in the shoes of the rest of us who play on the other side of the Pacific for a little perspective, and perhaps learn how we deal with our "literally unplayable latency."
