Will be interesting to see how this will affect me all the way in New Zealand, then again I've learnt to adjust to a constant 300+ ping so it doesn't really bother me much.

Sorry I don't really understand. I heard the servers were originally in Canada and I honestly have dreadful internet service but am able to play just fine. Unless your using wireless the I don't see a problem with the switch.

from 175 ms to 290-295ms, well guess I had my fun.
I will have to quit too, if we are going by the speculations, my ping would be 15-20 and 0% packet loss. Prior my ping was around 230 and 44% packet loss on comcast, 183 and 21% packet loss on AT&T. Now I don't have any excuses anymore when I die because I stood intentionally in aoe's. Having such an improvement takes away the fun of gaming.

Potentially getting rid of a bunch of WoWfugees is a good thing though :^)
190-200 ms ping has significant GCD clipping and, in XIV's case, tends also to have a high amount of missed commands/inputs. If you'd played at sub-90 ms for a while and then went back, trust me, it would indeed leave a very bitter taste to your gameplay. There is, however, virtually no difference once under 80 ms ping, as that point you're only being held back by internal cooldowns (animation times), which would be just as significant if you were somehow playing entirely client side / single-player.

It's not speculation anymore, I'm simply done. Can't play even if I want to.
Alright just did a ping test and i'm at 39-41 MS and i'm on wireless with Fibre OP, i'm also as far east as I can be in Canada not including Newfoundland if I was on regular wireless I think i'd be screwed.

I have already decided to not renew my subscription, as the ping increase was too big for me consider the service worth paying for. It is definately playable, but I do not want to endorse this kind of behaviour from companies.
