99% of people who raid can't bring 100% of what the class they play can do. so it's not really a choice most groups have anyway.

My dear friend lives in CA, plays on EU server, has high ping and guess what. She raids savage, and is fucking amazing. It takes more time to learn fight real well and do stuff preemptively, but it can be done. So this thread speaks more about you and similar FCs than about the DC move.

Completely agree. We have a Canadian in our EU-based static and the amount of times the increased ping actually factors into anything is scarce to say the least. And he plays Ninja!

What I find funny, is that <5% of the whole population actually Raid seriously, as in cutting edge/blind progression, but according to the forums/reddit, everyone here is playing at the level of 1%? I can't wait for this all to blow over, the delusion that you even need such a low amount of ping to be good at the game speaks volumes on how both spoilt and /not/ good at the game many of them are. [OCE Coil/Savage Raider, PS3, 240ping since closed beta, now it's 170. It's doable, it's difficult, it's not impossible, you're just spoilt.]

It does shine a light on the fact that people are being quick to overreact here. I actually did get a message over Discord from a friend last night saying her static members were quitting for now, and gonna quit the game entirely if this didn't get fixed by Stormblood. They've gotten their Savage clears, they've all farmed out just about everything they want, so while I say it's a perfect time for a break, quitting entirely is an overreaction, and an unnecessary one.

Yes, it's a problem. Yes, it NEEDS to be fixed. Will SE allow the launch of an expansion to be ruined by factors that render the game unplayable? Not if they want to make money. And that IS what they want above all else.

Like I said before, be patient. This is a big enough issue that can't be ignored if they care at all about the health of the game's community or revenues.
