People is having real problems and this affects people on the west coast, JP and EU as well, since this can make people leave FFXIV and we don't want that, so there's no need to make fun of them because who knows, maybe you will have the same problem one day, and you wouldn't want people to laugh at you in that case, but help you instead. So be more respectful with people who is having legit ping problems, stop acting that low.


Give it a week until servers get stable, hopefully ping will get better. If not, then you guys should continue showing SE how bad was their decision until they do something!

I've wondered if its less of not wanting to do something instead of just flat out can't do anything. SE needed to pick a location where they were able to expand servers as needed. SE is also really super small here in terms of online gaming with FFXI and FFXIV as their only real online games. I've wondered if they couldn't pick a central location due to the prime central areas already long bought by companies like Blizzard, NCSoft and others with more of an extensive catalogue of popular online games. No doubt with thoughts of expanding server banks due to current and future release games in their minds.

Dream scenario would be to split the data centers between east and west and let those in the middle pick which ever of the two is best for them.

But yeah, the developers suck for this.

Thing is people have 100-200 ping thinking its ok for some reason. Most if not all of them are the bad players thst never do anything but dungons.

I average 180 ping after the move and I'm perfectly fine with it because I honestly can't tell the difference with how it was before. It's also a really stupid assumption to say that people with high ping are bad players. You don't know that.
