I'm not sure what it was before for certain, I don't have it recorded anywhere, but I did ping about a year and a half ago or so and I want to say it was in the ~180-~220 range.

I pinged it just now and I'm at 37ms, 0 packet loss. Omg this is awesome. I'm getting out of aoes that would have hit me before.

My latency dropped to ~40ms, but it was perpetually under >100ms anyway. Regardless, Charter is a pain in the butt when it comes to consistency with the lag. I'll be pinging it off and on over the week to see if that stays constant, especially since I got 4ish more jumps between my router and the server. Dunno how long I should let it ping for per say, but I didn't lose any over a couple hundred attempts.

I live in SEA.Got around 300+ ping from old datacenter.
Now its around 230 ping and I noticed the differences.
Doing rotations got a bit smoother,easier to dodge AOE and most importantly,my DPS increased a lot I'm even surprised.

To sum it up,I totally love this but still I feel sorry for SA players though..they don't deserve this ridiculously increased 100+ ping.

May I ask what method people are using for checking their ping when playing from a PS4? I am helping someone and I hoped that running Resource Monitor from a PC would detect the PS4's connection to FFXIV, but that apparently didn't work.

Nah the PC Resource Manager only shows the incoming and outgoing connections on that PC.

You can get the IP of the server you wish to check the ping and open Command Prompt on the computer that is on the same network as your PS4 and do "ping serverip"

You can see the ping in ms that way since the PC is on the same network as the ps4 it should be relatively the same.
