Just be careful with the shoulder pads. Try avoiding them or at least make them way smaller and less pronounced.
I personally want to see more plate and metallic armour designs for tanks and melee DPS gears.
We have too much of leather/cloth type while the more classic "job" and medieval metallic designs are rare.

They did have to animate or adjust them for /visor

But not for "all of the existing gear" as Luxpheras' post suggested. The vast majority of gear doesn't do anything with the /visor setting. It's only used on a few select pieces, and this would be no different.

Pretty much every gear I see with big shoulderpads, I think how great the gear is but those shoulderpads...The best example to me is the sky rat harness model. I dont know about other races, but on au ra the shoulderpad just floats over the body and looks rediculous. There's a lack of nice form fitting chest gears, and those that exist tend to have shoulderpads like that which look out of place.

Some players like shoulder pads. I tank so I would like to feel like a tank. I understand that for some cloth or leather armor should be taken back, but plate armor should feel like it does what it is design for.

Also, if you're really that desperate to avoid big bulky pauldrons, play a lalafell. Pretty hard to have big bulky pauldrons when you don't have when you don't even have shoulders.

Unrelated to pauldrons but can we get a cloak? Like the hood on the cotton cowl with a cape draping down the back and without the robe?

I wanted to make an orlandeau glamour but there's nothing like that in game.

What is this. Why are people against shoulder pads!? Soon, you'll be asking to ditch heavy armor altogether, no elbow or knee joints, no tasset, no gauntlets or greaves...

Please stop, let them continue to develop beautiful armor for the tanks. If you don't like it, why don't you go ahead an play any of the (oh so many) classes that don't rely on heavy armor?


We literally only have three classes that can use heavy sets of armor, versus 12 that don't.

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I like heavy armour that has more realistic looking shoulder pieces. But even though the pauldrons on realistic armour are big enough to allow freedom of movement, they're not all that much bigger than your shoulders themselves. Huge exaggerated ones, like bent shields hovering above your shoulders, just look comical and out of place. Those are the only ones I'd want to be able to remove. (Though I don't know that it necessarily needs a new feature. Just more gear options with a realistic style works, too.)
