SA ping over 200ms

Tbh people that has been playing this since 2013 and paying during all these years they have a RIGHT to voice their opinion as many times as needed. You cannot expect them to keep quiet while they been screwed over. When they are about to throw away 3 years of sub.

What do you say to the people who did deal with that up till recently and now have a better connection? "Tough shit, you deserve to still be that way"? Or are you going to feed them pretty words like "well it's on SE to fix this" as others would be saying to the people complaining now?

This is not a new problem in general and people have either dealt with it in their own way and/or lived with it. Unless SA players can justify enough of an income for them to invest (and profit) off of that location of players, there's really nothing more to be said. It's not a charity.

With the new move from old datacenter to the the new ones, Most of South America players now face a > 200ms latency.

Im near Sao Paulo and used to get 170ms in game latency. Now it has become 210ms. It wasn't a very good experience then (getting hit by phantom AoEs and move canceling skills that were already cast), and now its just going to be even worse.

This has got to be the dummest decision they ever made regarding infrastructure, with no regards to player base outside of the US who were playing on NA servers... EU playing together with NA? Not anymore. SA with a reasonable game experience? Not anymore. People from the east cost with low ping (only the majority of the playerbase). Whelp, not anymore.

This is a sad day in FFXIV history

I really hope they make a data center in south america and buy some server space there. There really should be at least one per continent.

I am fully understand the problem my fellow SA players are facing, and if there is something the rest of us can do to help out, I am sure vast majority of us will do so in a heartbeat.

In my opinion, a diplomatic approach will more likely get you the result you seek.

Players, especially the ones from SA region should join as one in a concentrated effort to send a clear message to the parties involved. To make sure they understand what the problem is, let them know about the urgency and severity of this matter, and examples of ways they can go about dealing with this issue.

Good for them it was THEIR CHOICE to get used to bad connection TO BEGIN WITH but sadly it's NOT a choice for those who got screwed over who started with good connection.

Don't confuse 2 totally different situations.
